well first of all the price.... £646 for a 24 inch 1920x1200 monitor. cracking price. but then consider

HDCP compliant HDMI and DVI inputs, VGA in, Component in, S -video in, composit in, height adjust, tilt, swivel/rotate, panning and an impressive showing in the IQ stakes.

you can adjust it to anywhere that suits you, and you could easily have, a PC, 360, PS3 digital TV tuner all plugged in with connections to spare and PIP so you can view more than one at a time. plus it sports 2 USB ports on the side, and one USB up top for web cams

not only that.... you get both DVI, VGA and USB cables in the box too.

im stumped, and i think i may just save up a little more and forget the samsung 215TW and get this instead.

does anyone know what panel it uses?

just FYI: "wow, just... wow." is used when you can't believe how stupid something is. It's not for something really cool. That's usually a time to use "woot!" or plain old "wow!"

Cheaper?

How come I do not see this monitor cheaper than the 2407?

Are we talking USD here?

well the dell is £646, the BenQ is the same price and offers alot more functionallity. plus you'll pay round abouts the same for a good 26inch HDTV, which will also get beaten by the BenQ.

samsungs SM-244T is £740, and even that doesnt have the features of the BenQ so yeah £646 is a pretty good price considering what your getting

That review isn't very useful. No pictures of gradients, no real data. I'm really looking forward to some hard data on this monitor.

Having 10/10 ratings for every single area sounds biased. I think the Dell 2407WFP would beat it out in image quality. I'd wait for a more reliable review. Despite its name I just don't trust that site (they have wrongly identified LCDs as 8-bit and make weird assumptions).

The panel used in the 2407 is simply higher quality. Wider viewing angles, higher contrast, and better default color accuracy than the BenQ's AUO P-MVA panel. That's important if you don't have a calibrator. It's even cheaper, at least in the US.

The BenQ FP241WZ is supposed to have the 120 Hz motion blur reduction technique so I'd wait for that or get a Dell.

Trusted reviews for me is like having another person giving me an opinion just like someone does on forums. I dont look down on them because they have no hard data so to speak but I just use them as another guide for choosing products. They gave the 215TW a good review also and well I am happy with mine even tho I might make the jump to a 24" myself, so I dont really think TR is all that bad, the more info I have helps me choose.

I was going to wait for this monitor.

Then decided to get the Westinghouse 37" 1080p instead.

By the looks of the price at launch, the Westinghouse looked alot better! Picked up the Westy for $1244

the only thing bad about it is the buttons on the side.

and its probably a samsung panel. i bought a acer al2416wd which is a samsung panel 24". and acer owns benq. this is a much more high end monitor though.
