I have the monitor, looking at it right now. It is amazing with no ghosting at all and perfect colors. I have absolutly nothing to complain about! I got mine back on rebate a while back for about the same price, maybe for 250.

There's a big problem with this rebate. It is called Newegg. Their dead pixel policy is hideous. I like Newegg except for that. It's a shame too...

If you don't mind waiting for the rebate, this is a phenomenal deal. I've owned the Viewsonic VX924 and the Samsung 930B and they've got nothing over the BenQ FP91G+. I still have the BenQ hooked up to my back up rig and plan to keep it for a while. Great for FPS games!

Bump for New Feb.14 - Mar. 14 Rebate

I picked up one almost a week ago, good monitor. Has a little backlight bleedthrough at the top but it does a very good job of dithering, you can't see the effect much compared to some other low-priced 6 bit TN panels. It is TN though, black levels are not as dark as on slower VA or more expensive fast VA, but still reasonable for the type of monitor. Sharp DVI display and no "normally" visable ghosting (motion blur) in games. DOing motion blur testing, there is of course some as all 8ms monitors have some, it is most noticable when scrolling down pages, the text blurs. This is not unusal and it does it less than older/slower monitors.

One other things most of the lower priced monitors seem to lack is a really sturdy frame. This is better than the Rosewills and a few others in that regard. The adjustment buttons are easy to use but hard to see - exactly the way I wanted it, they disappear into the dark frame when not needed.

Don't discount the on-site warranty replacement either.

Three (3) years parts, labor, and LCD back light from purchase date.

? Advance refurbished replacement unit** will be shipped via 48-hour courier by the following business day after an RMA number is issued for the first year. (The only exception to the 48-hour rule is no deliveries on Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays and shipments to certain remote areas may be delayed due to the shipper's practices.)

? BenQ will pay for both ways shipping in the first year.

There's a very important gotcha in that warranty fine print. What if they refuse to issue an RMA number? You wait, possibly indefinitely.

This is not hypothetical, I'm currently stuck in this state with a defective product from them for which they don't have any replacements in stock right now (nor an ETA for when they might, nor an escalation procedure, you get the idea). And so their answer is to leave me SOL.

Their advertised LCD "48 hour" advance replacement could become weeks, months, or never.

Based on my experience, I would definitely not suggest that anyone consider the Benq favorably for their warranty terms.

This is a very unusual situation you're in. What model do you have? Perhaps you should retry the RMA request, and speak to a supervisor. Surely they would substitute the current model in the same product tier or did you insist on the exact same model # ?

Got it in today, and have no dead pixels. Although it does a noticeable light bleed(about 1/4" wide) across the top of the monitor.
