Beowolf preview

Just caught Beowolf in IMAX 3D. Been a long time since I wore those 3D glasses. Movie was enjoyable and fun. Haven't read the book so can't compare. But the visuals were impressive. Reminds me of God of War the game.

Planning on seeing it at the local theater later today. Matinee. I'm still not excited about it being in CGI...but i gotta see it...cause i loved the epic story when i was in school.

I've never actually seen a 3D movie at an Imax so I'm hoping it'll be good.

The commercials I've seen of it, it looks a little cartoony(only word I can think of to describe it). It looks somewhere along the lines of the Final Fantasy movie that was done a few years ago which was pretty darn good for it's time, but technology should have improved since then. Even the CG in Spiderman looked better than this movie. I would have expected more realism of the CG for the movie but maybe it's supposed to be that way because of the 3D, I dunno. The concept for the movie is cool, but I think it would have been better had they used real actors and just CG'ed the really hard to do stunts. I'll probably wait for it to come out and rent it unless the 3D effects are just mindblowing.

I saw a preview for this movie. I was thoroughly underwhelmed so I might just wait for the video release.

To me from the previews, the movie looks like a video game. I think it takes away from the movie, would rather watch something like King Arthur, it makes the movie seem more real.

And i fear with the success of 300 we are going to see alot of this slapped together crap. Some stars face running around in a 2 hour video game cut scene.

I saw it in Digital 3D yesterday. While I saw it free, I would definitely have paid to see it as well and felt fully satisfied. It was really good, and the 3D was way better than anything I've seen in the past (not sure if that's because of the new Digital 3D system, or just how they utilized it, or what). If they want a way to draw people back into the theaters, they need to give them an experience they can't recreate at home, and this would definitely be it.

I never read the story, so everything was new. I think the 3D effects were amazing. The facial expressions are great and much better than Final Fantasy.

I never saw FF but i thought the CG was pretty good. There were a few little things here and there..where it looked like it jumped or seemed to be done poorly...but i don't know enough about it to criticize it further.

Overall, i thought the movie was pretty good.

3D has come a loong way since the 80s. The movie was good. I was surprised.

Saw Beowulf 3D IMAX , thought it was great and the 3D and IMAX made it very immersive. I was really surprised by how good the 3D was, last movie I saw in 3D was Jaws 3 so it has come a long way since then and I hope to see it more in the future. The animation was top notch, and the story well its Beolwulf what more is there to say.

They raped the plot and the 3D gets old pretty fast

We just went to see it today, the wife and I. She actually picked it out because I had thought it was going to be too cheesy. We were both surprised how well it was done.

At points I couldn't tell if it was cgi or the real actor, especially in some of the Jolie face scenes.

I saw the film last night. My friend liked, but i have mixed feelings about it. Nothing overtly positive or negative about the film. Its like i wasn't fully entertained, nor was i dissappoiinted... I guess the word would be "empty."
