I posted this in the sub forum for Nvidia but that doesn't seem to get much traffic, so I'm posting this in the general forum.

Mods please delete the other one.

I've search the forums and can't find any specific posts. I'm looking to purchase a 1080 TI. Primary requirement is quiet, followed by performance and finally keeping the price to about $800. I'll be driving a 3440x1440 monitor with it.

I'm currently leaning toward that ASUS ROG Strix 1080 TI OC Edition for $800 on B&H (currently out of stock but more on the way). https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/prod...strix_gtx1080ti_o11g_geforce_gtx_1080_ti.html

Are there better cards for $800 considering my requirements?

Thanks in advance for any help.

The Aorus is pretty nice, and I got mine for under $700 before tax. Worth a look if you can find it at a decent price.

I like my Gigabyte Aorus 1080 Ti. Be warned it's basically a 2.5 slot card, though.

For $779 I picked up the evga GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 iCX. What I like about this card is it is a true 2 slot card. I didn't want any of the wider ones. Also it kicks butt and cools pretty well.

Newegg wants over $800 for this card but I bought mine at Fry's Electronics for $779.99

I'm happy with my MSI Lightning LE 980ti, but the 1080ti X is $840 at newegg.

The triple-fan design is very quiet.

After reading a bunch of reviews, I went with my original choice the ASUS ROG Strix OC. I'm waiting for all the pieces for the new build to trickle in. Should be a beast when I'm done.

weaslefluff, GREAT move. I custom water cool all three of my rigs and when I factored the cost of a GTX1080TI plus a waterblock, the Gigabyte Auros Extreme with waterblock, though salty ($850) was a great card for me and very easy to move into my loop.

My goodness these 1080TIs are monsters.
