Best $1500ish LCD for TV use

I've seen some good Pricing on the Soyo 32 and 37 inch units - but if their LCD's are like their mainboards I need to steer clear -

Does anyone that works with these all day long, or someone who owns (has owned) a few LCD's have any suggestions?

I'd like to stay away from projectors and rear projection screen sets - bad luck here with repairs on them.

I'll be using the LCD off of my 9800 Pro DVI connection in my HTPC.

Any help is appreciated - I know about nothing in this arena

I bought the 37" Septre at Costco, its 1920x1080. I have not hooked it up yet, so I will know soon.

Meh, LCDs have limited watching hour lifespan...thingy....yeah.......nvm

I think there are plus and minus' to any TV set you grab these days...
My luck, and repair bill for rear projection screen units is clearing that option from my list though...

Plasma and LCD and a bigger tube are my options.
Wanting a smaller thinner set leaves out the tube...

It would be great if there were one superior manufacturer that just did it right... then it would be a price only issue.

Any other suggestions on an LCD?

I have heard that the Dell LCD TV's are rated pretty good, and the prices arent that bad. But I have not seen one in person.
