best 17" CRT monitor...???????

I'm about to buy a new monitor, and so far I have my eye on 3 monitors, Samsung 757NF, NEC FE791SB and Viewsonic P75f+ ...
samsung & NEC use diamondtron CRT and viewsonic PerfectFlat, which is a derivative from diamondtron...
all are 0,25 aperture grill and 1280*1024@85HZ...
the question is, which one is the best choice....

Based on what I have read, I'd recommend any of those that you listed since the specs are identical. I only have expierence with Viewsonic, and have enjoyed my Viewsonic 17" and 19" CRTs...

That ViewSonic CRT is a tough choice to try to beat, so that's where I would go.

Why 17-inch? I think it' worth the extra $100 for the 2-inch desktop space. I mean you are going to have this monitor for the next 3+ years? Why not treat yourself to something bigger? Unless money is really tight, I don't see why not going for a nice 19 inch or 17 inch LCD monitor these days.

Last year, I wish I spent a little more on my monitor because I get a little jealous now, looking at these people with high resolutions in those desktop threads -while I'M stuck with my puny 1024x768 res on my 17 incher. Sigh.

money IS tight for me,I cannot afford a naturalflat 19", although I could get 19" viewsonic E95 for almost the same money than these 17" diamondtrons, i think a high-quality 17" is better than merely good 19"....

I have seen that top-10 before, but like a curse no P75f+ review whatsoever and a god knows what samsung (here I have is 757NF, which although should be the same as 700NF from the specs )...

if calculated in euros (I live in estonia,which is in europe) then NEC is about 280EUR while Samsung and Viewsonic both about 250EUR, NEC seems like the best quality from reviews (like that top-10), but is it worth the extra buxx????

also here I have heard some people having problems with samsung757NF, that in about half a year it starts to have some sort of anomalies, stripes etc... can anybody who's had that samsung over a year comment the monitor???

has any of you been able to directly compare any of those three???

I wouldn't buy anything today smaller than a 19" CRT.
I bought a Sony E540 21". I love it. If you can afford
it go with a 19" minimum and spring for the 21" if you can....
