Best 17" LCD bang for the buck

Shopping for a new 17" LCD but there are SOOOOOOOO many to choose from, and I'm not overly educated in them, I'm having a hard time pulling the trigger.

Looking for a 17" with DVI and thats about all my critria (well that and price range).

The Samsung 172x caught my eye, but is on the higher end of the $ scale. Was looking if there is anything else out there worth while...

If I were you, I would definately go for a 19" one ...

You'll keep it for some years to come... so spent that a little bit extra and treat yourself with a nice big screen !

I'm saving money to get either the Apple Cinema Display 20" or the new 24" Widescreen from Dell to replace my Iiyama 19" CRT

I got a 17" Iiyamma from Newegg for $218. Very good deal for the money. It wont make me go to an LCD for gaming (yet). But for casual stuff its very good.
