it's kinda stupid to say possible overclock on those lists, a more accurate term would be likely overclock. also if you're building a rig that's "guaranteed" to overclock that high (yes, it's very possible to get a C2D that won't clock that high, or one that'll go higher, same with A64), why not put a recommended power supply? Those are just as important components as anything else, if not more, and a lot of people don't know what makes a power supply good so really that's the most important recommendation.
you should never count MIRs in your pricing. You have to pay the full price up front and you MAY get the MIR in 6-8 weeks.

If you want to add a high quality, low cost, budget Power supply to the list you will not find anything better then this for price/performance/quality. This will provide enough power for all current single GPU possibilities except the high end 8800 and X1950 GPU's.

And maybe some power supplies that are good for a 8800 or better card single setup.... I know those 2 corsairs r very good... but maybe we need to find 1 that has an 6+2pin PCI-E connector ( for R600 cards) like this Enermax Infinity but they way 2 expensive
... if u can find something like that but for about $100-130 then thats the ONE.

That is true. However, last time I pointed it out I was thoroughly berated for the heresy. The claim is that any and all C2D chips are capable of close to 3GHz, the limiting factor being other parts like mobo/RAM. That being said on the one hand, OTOH it doesn't matter in a sense what limits it but the fact that some people just can't clock any higher. I know a few guys at the LAN parties I go to who got on the C2D bandwagon but can't clock very high. Does it matter that they don't have the "right" motherboard?
Anyways, I'm still waiting for the "right" mATX C2D board. That Abit Fatal1ty board is looking good!

When that guy says "midrange" what does he mean? Will that PSU handle an over clocked E4300, other components and a 8800GTS? If so I'm in for it.
With that PSU the total cost of my system excluding a GPU will be $550 after rebates. Plus the $225 or so for a discounted 8800GTS and you have $775 that will be able to destroy any game for a long time (can't wait for Crysis!!!).
Excuse me? Why the heck are people talking about $100+ PSUs for a budget overclock system? We're talking e4300 and x2 3600 here, folks, not QX6800.
These overclocked systems even on a budget are supposed to be paired with some nice Vidcards
I would recommend this one
Enhance 5150, Power Supply for Budget System
Now that I think about it I may not have an old PCI-E card laying around...lRapid u see I cant order anything because I dont have an old PCI-E.... so having all the parts here, not being able to test em while waiting for the AMD cards... will make me go on a suicide... better off i wait till they come out so the core2duo prices go down... let us know what exact parts u gonna get..
as you wishisn't there any decent RAM (2 gig) pc6400 for 130 without MIR?
