Question Best 32 GB RAM kit for AMD 5900X?

Hi All, Wondering if anyone has an opinion on the best RAM 32GB kits for a AMD 5900x build.

I guess it really is going to depend on your budget in the end....Best can be pricey!

Speaking with budget in mind most likely it's 3600-3800MHz with the tightest timings.

Nice! Which kit did you wind up getting? I'm running the G.Skill Trident Z Neo 32GB F4-3600C16D-32GTZN kit in my 5900x rig....Was pricey, but wanted the b-die offering.

AMD ryzen 5000 series infinity fabric is tied directly to your ram clock speed.

So you want the fastest ram possible that you can afford on the qvl list.

Are you going to be overclocking the memory or tweaking timings? Depending on the RAM kit you get and what chips it has in it, this can help quite a bit with Ryzen performance, though of course requires trial and patience. Also, having dual ranks per channel will also help with Ryzen, though with a 32GB kit, this is likely the case already.

This shouldn't even be recommendation, it should be a given.
Always dual channel your ram unless you have quad or octo channel.

It amazed me when i saw gamers nexus and how many prebuilt shipped with a single stick of ram unless you customized the config.
And again how many prebuilts also forgot to enable XMP.

OP whatever ram you get, if it has XMP, please enable XMP in bios.

Good general advice, but ranks are different from channels. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memory_rank

Ryzen likes dual ranks PER channel, so this would typically be 4x8GB DIMMs, or 2x16GB DIMMs.

Those Trident Zeros are Samsung B-Die, aren't they? The Ballistixes are E die, though those are single rank AFAIK. You'd need to find a 4x8GB DIMM kit or play it wild and get two 2x16 GB kits.

Servers from big OEMs (like Dell, HP, ...) are offered with equally interesting choices.
For example,
* Three modules on quad-channel system
* Four modules on triple-channel, which puts twice as many ranks on one channel than on the other two channels
All naturally customizable, but the "default" is questionable.
