be using them for gaming, watching dvd's music cd's ect....

My nephew has the Klipsch speakers and they are in a word dynamite! I'm sure they will meet your criteria and they play loud without distortion(great for DVD's!) and frankly I think at their price are a steal($250-$299 I think).
