Best 65" LED-LCD

I'm looking for a great 65" LED to replace my 52" Samsung So far I have looked at the Samsung 6 series and 8 Series. The 8 series is $1000 more pretty much for 3d.

Any other great models/Brands? I'm really torn with the #D thing on one hand not alot of content on the other hand Do I want to not have it when/If the content starts coming in..

It will have a High End PC conected to it (mybackup/Old Gaming pc 980x/Tri Sli 480's) It will be used as a media center and maybe gaming. (Side note what do you guys use to hold your mouse keyboard while sitting on a couch for proper posture?) I also use it for standard media center type stuff netflix, music etc

If I get 3d do they have PC based 3d blueray?

I dont mind spending the 4k but would not mind finding a great 3k version either

Im looking to buy asap so please any feedback/advice

There are br players that support 3d, but you need software that supports it as well, which can get expensive. Also, looking into http://reviews.cnet.com/best-led-tvs/?tag= Cnet reviews a large amount of tvs and they know a thing or two about what to look for and what is bad. As far as 3d tv goes, I wouldnt worry about it too much because I dont like it but to each his own. The differences between tv models is more than just 3d and 2d, so doing the research to see which models have your requirements (1080p/24 for theater like movie, color quality/accuracy, black levels, ect) is important. If you dont need a tv right now, the new models should be coming out very soon and may have improved features over last years stuff.

That said, my dad has a 55" Samsung 8000 series and I like it, but have yet to use the 3d.

Even this years 2011 TV's aren't going to solve the issues each manufacturer and display tech has. The 2012 models will be the first shot for achieving Kuro blacks and, hopefully, solving their remaining issues (and another hopefully, not introducing new ones).

Seeing how much $$$$ you want to drop, and that you already have a large TV, the best thing to do - if you can restrain yourself - is wait.

If not, then get a 2011 model...and to make an informed purchase on one of those, you'll still have to wait because there isn't enough information out on them yet.

I wouldn't bother with 3D. It's most likely just a fad, and if it isn't, it's not really very mature and your hardware will be obselete in the future either way.

Also, I would also consider a Projector if this is for a light controlled room. That way you wouldn't be limmited to a 65inch size, and instead, could go for 100+ inches. But, I realize not all rooms are suitable (Only 1 room in my house is suitable for a projector ... hehehe)
