best 80mm intake fan for cfm?

That looks like the ticket, thanks. I am wondering how many cfm's I need to suck the hot air out the back of an xbox 360. Loud doesn't really bother me since I can use headphones. Also, is it worth getting a fan controller to control the fan without a pc hooked to it?

An XBOX360 is loud..... but that fan would make the XBOX360 sound like a Nexus fan...

I'm pretty sure you would be able to hear that Delta through headphones.

Remember the infamous Delta 60mm fan (AFB0612EHE, to be precise) from years back? The UHE fan you linked to sounds over FOUR times as loud.

You can also see this little beauty They no longer have the video there but I have it somewhere on my computer. It moves the same amount of air as the 76mm model but in a 38mm form factor. I've seen one in person and the sound output in unbelievable.... There is nothing that could be done to actually tolerate even being in an adjacent room to it.

EDIT: Might I also add not to down all of Delta's line. Delta's EFB low speed line are currently my favorite fans. Im not a person who cares a whole lot about silence but these run wonderfully with automatic fan controllers such as the Sunbeam Theta. Quiet whenever possible, yet move the air necessary should the need occur.

The Silverstone FM82 isn't bad either - 92mm fan blade on an 80mm mounting. But it may not be useable in all applications.

Here's my idea... Design some kind of tunnel, put a 120mm or 250mm case fan inside & line the insides of the tunnel with sponges to dampen sound. The tunnel would need to be big enough so the sponges do not actually restrict airflow.

I have a Panaflo 80x80x25 fan (your typical 80mm size fan) that pushes about 45CFM. It's clearly audible at its highest speeds, but it's a low hum and whoosh, and not a high pitch annoying whine like you usually get from REALLY high RPM fans.

I've had a 6000 RPM fan before. Trust me. You don't want one. I'd stay under 4000 RPM if possible.

With a fan controller, I can turn it down so it fades into the ambient noise, and it still pushes a decent amount of air. But the power is there if I need it.

I've got a pair of them doing exhaust work on an archaic Antec 1080B. They do the job pretty well, and they have a lot more space to suck from than a tiny 360. I bet one of these would do the job just fine and might not force you out of the room.
