Best Action Movie?

I find great repeat value in Black Hawk Down and Saving Private Ryan but I think just about everyone has already seen those a dozen times. But there's comfort in greatness.

Wanted was a retarded movie with several moments of technical brilliance. Watch it expecting some beautifully executed (although ludicrously impossible) set pieces. But it's based on a graphic novel I think so it does have an excuse. Plus, I think there was some Jolie sideboob action as well.

The new Bond movies are good. I thought Casino Royale was better than Quantum of Solace personally.
The Bourne movies are all good.

I will have to say this has to go into my top 20 worst films ever. Couldn't watch it after he hooked jumper cables to his titties. I don't mind when film makers take license with reality, but when it goes way far beyond what is possible I just can't watch. If you think someone can conduct a heart transplant surgery with the patient awake or you can shove a carrot through someone's head (Shoot'em Up) then maybe this movie is for you. I could overlook the little stuff in Crank, but Crank 2 had me turning it off after 5 minutes.

I watched 20 minutes of it. People who like this movie scare me.. It's hateful against women (a stripper gets shot and her boobs leak - har har), poorly shot, and revels in sadistic violence.

I like boobies.. I like well orchestrated violence (80s John Woo FTW), but I hate mean spirited/hateful filth, especially when the makers of it think it's slick satire

I haven't seen Crank 2, but it boggles my mind that someone is complaining about realism in Shoot Em Up. It's an intentional parody of gun movies. The whole thing is so completely unrealistic and so way over the top that I was laughing out loud (which was a good thing in that case). If you went into Shoot Em Up expecting something besides the farce that it is meant to be, I'm sorry you got burned.

I just found that tonight, forgot I had it. It definitely fits the bill, good suggestion.

And Enemy at the Gates is what I think I am going for next time I need a fix.

I get the whole parody thing. When someone faces ten people with machine guns and you kill them all with 10 bullets, well then it's parody. When you throw the gun at them and it ricochets off all ten of their heads then it is farce and a bad farce at that.
