Hello
My centrion 5 doesn't seem to have good air flow. Only has 2 fans front and back and I don't thik the stock fans work that great. Should I just upgrade the fans and mod the case or is there a good air flowing case that's worth to buy?
I'm looking around 100$ not more than 120$

I replaced all my fans with Nexus models and I added an extra 120MM fan into the bottom of the 5 inch bays. Leaving one of the break-away grates in allows for perfect mounting of the top two screw holes on a fan. That, tied with respectable cable management means that I have absolutely no cooling issues that are case related. The stock fans are a bit anemic...

They can't be very high, but the centurion 5 is pretty good in terms of airflow as far as airflow goes. If you do feel the need for an upgrade, the lian li pc7b +2 is a good choice @ $95 shipped, it can two 12cm fans and is all aluminum. (plus it looks way cooler than anything coolermaster puts out... except maybe the stacker, or mystique) I think lian li uses adda fans that are rebadged to say lian li brand.

you say it doesn't have good airflow - Anything running abnormally warm? Yeah the fans don't have much guts but the computer I built with that case has no cooling issues with the stock fans. Granted it is only a 3000+ with a X1600XT with stock coolers

Welll the CPU runs 40 C Idle. I have e6600 with Scythe MineCooler.
I just upgraded the rear fan with Thermaltake and lowered 1C lol
I wanted to overclock sooner or later but before doing so, I wanted to make sure that I have safe temps to attempt to OC. Should I worry about getting a new CPU fan instead??Any recommendation?

The C2Ds do tend to report higher temps than X2s even though they use less power. I wouldn't worry about it.

-who said anything about lian li case's?
-i suggest getting a faster 80mm fan in the front to balance with the 120mm fan in the rear, my friend's WD hdd is overheating like crazy in that case (idle 56c)

Okay, I got it!

1) Are you in the Northern hemisphere, e.g. is it summer where you are?

2) I have a Scythe Mine 3 [pronounced me-nay] and it sucks! I can't wait to get rid of this thing on eBay!!!

3) I'm starting to *think* Intel has pulled another (if you'll pardon the pun) fast one on the public, in the name of corporate profit! Either there are a lot of dumb ppl out there, that don't know how to install a HSF properly, or the Core 2 Duo is a ruse -- a clever marketing ploy. And, that's what I'm starting to think...

My question is: Is there anybody, out there, having good luck with these things -- the Intel Core 2 CPUs?
