Best Airline You Flew

For domestic flights I like AirTran. Cheap and decent. Internationally I've flown Delta (Newark > Madrid) and American (Philly > Rome) and both were okay, but Delta was definitely better.

Porter Airlines flying from Toronto Island Airport to Halifax via Montreal. It's about a 2hr flight. It's a regional airline with lower operating costs than the big boys.

For the price of coach through Air Canada, you get business class on a propliner. Leather seats, high quality complementary meal with wine and beer included, friendly staff. The lounge has free WiFi and a cafe with complementary snacks and coffee.

If you're flying from Toronto to any city in eastern Canada, it's the only way to go.

Oasis Airline 2007 Vancouver Canada to Hong Kong return.......... they have since gone out of business....... great fare great service.

Bangkok Airlines 2007 Bangkok to Trat return......... I thought it would be a bad 45 minute prop plane flight but it was the best prop plane flight I ever had and they even served a full meal

West Jet for domestic flights........ no way I am taking Air Canada

Alaska Airlines for discount flights out of Bellingham WA.......... been to Las Vegas Many times and I really like the service.

Hawaiian Airlines is always a decent experience.

They are. Aloha was very good as well..

I think MOST of the "better airline experiences" I've had were on airlines that are no longer in service...
Pan-Am was very good.
Northwest Orient was very good.

United used to be very good, as did Delta.

The constant fare wars have taken their toll on airline service for domestic flights. I haven't been on an international flight since 1972 when I returned from Okinawa following my "visit" to South Vietnam.

Nope. Aloha folded a couple of years ago.

TWA was also pretty good "back in the day."

For me, flying domestic, the SMF -> JFK red-eye on Jet Blue was probably the best. It was cheap, no baggage fees, free food, free headphones for movies, sat bulkhead so had plenty of leg room, good pillows and blankets (not those thin crappy ones), and we got in early.

Domestic: depends on where I'm going. Pac Northwest I'll take Alaska, maybe JetBlue. Shorter flights to Bay Area or Vegas I'll take Southwest. Other places I prefer American.

International: the best one I've flown so far is El Al. Free food and drink anytime you want even in coach.

There was a little puddle hopper airline that flew 12 passenger twin turbo props from Flagstaff to Phoenix for $40 back in the day. You got snacks, drinks and a stewardess.

Emirates was the best. Internationally I've flown Emirates, British, Delta, Air France, Air India, US, and American. US and Air India were the worst.
