pretty decent. I would recommend a brand name PSU though. Like an Antec Perf series case/PSU for $99 .

You can do better on the HD, RAM and Case.

Staples was selling that HD for 99-30=69 and then with a coupon you could get it for 39 plus tax.

In general , no more than $.75/Gigabyte after a rebate or $1/Gigabyte without a rebate is a good rule of thumb.

Shop the RAM. You can do better. Get 2700 if you can for the future.

Case? I'd get a Enlight 72xx series with a 300 or 340 watt PS from newegg.com for about $59. Also check the cpu and board price again.

Man, for budget system like that you should be using $50 Supercase (with power supply) like this one.

You have to be careful with the power supplies they send with those cheap cases. Superpower w/ cogagen for instance=cheap PS.

Enlight cases are premium and their PSs are good quality as well. Make sure the company isn't swapping out the PS BTW.

I mentioned the CDRW for 9.95. I believe staples has a black friday deal like that too. A cendyne 40x. Hopefully a rebadged lite-on.

Macro2, i'm assuming that you meant $1 per gigabyte and not per megabyte. one could quickly run up the price of a hard drive if you were paying a dollar per megabyte .
