Wow, I actually feel the exact opposite. Bleach has been REALLY dull for a long time, the manga has *finally* started to make progress. I've read the complaints of Naruto, but I've liked it lately. Shippuuden has been dragging forever, though.

SPOILERS

*********************************

Hueco Mundo has had some bad moments in it and I think the Zaraki vs Nnoitora fight had the most retarded ending ever. Hey, look at me, I'll use both hands on the sword and I'm super duper powerful. Give me a break Kubo Tite! Overall, I thought it was alright though. I want to know what some of the releases are for the Espada though. I'm kind of curious about the Fat King Triton (as in from The Little Mermaid) one that appeared in Karakura Town.

At least Bleach offers some decent PSP games . I think they might be realizing that a decent amount of people are importing them, because I've owned 2 and 3 and "found" 4... with each release, you get more and more options in English than the past one. Mostly just menus though.

The problem with Naruto is the fact that they spent so long on the Itachi vs Sasuke fight that I had no idea what was going on with Konoha vs Tobe when they went back to that today. I almost went back to read what happened, but remembered that I'm lazy and that's way too much effort because a mangaka doesn't know what he's doing.

What in God's name? NO Gundam fan would recommend Double-Zero. It's so fucking boring.
What? Gundam 00 has been fucking awesome for the past few episdoes. GNX vs Thrones was great, as well as Gundams vs GNX.

Don't watch Naruto or Bleach. At best, read the Bleach Manga. It has good art. I've forgotten what happens in Naruto because the most recent fight lasted about 3 months.

I watched the first 5 or 6 and it was incredibly boring. If a show isn't good enough by that point, it's just not worth watching unless you're bored. Not to mention you only say the past few episodes have been good... there's over 20 available!

Although, I still download the series even though I probably won't watch it .

The only bad things about these animes is that at times the animation is inconsistent (sometimes it's bad and sometimes it's good) and they love wasting time (my god do they love doing that).

If you like the music in .hack//SIGN, you may want to know the composer, Yuki Kajiura, has done music for a number of other things. She did the soundtrack for the anime of Tsubasa Chronicle, the game Xenosaga, and she also put out a CD entitled Fiction. Make sure to check them out!

I also second the recommendation of Denno Coil. Very interesting "near future" portrayal, and I loved the art style. Also adding Haibane Renmei to the list, one of my favorites.

I think anime is stupid... but I have watched that entire series.
It is great!

If you like Cowboy Bebop then you will also really like Black Lagoon. It is a newer anime and it isn't set in a futuristic universe but it is incredibly good.

Yes, At Episode 10, the Series picks up, and then at episode 17 or so, it becomes FUCK AWESOME.

Not to mention the last episode has got me crying...it was amazing.

I'm watching waiting for Triumph the Insult Comic Dog to say something funny here.
I am very picky about what Japanese Animation I watch. I can't stand these long drawn out series. The Only Series I got into was when I was a kid and it was Macross. I like the Robotech stuff, Ghost in the Shell movies, Akira (the original, the redub is crap), Princess Mononoke, Grave of Fireflies, Windaria (Once upon a Time), and Spirited Away. I've tried to watch other stuff, but couldn't get into anything else.

It seems as if most anime is geared toward children or people with perverse deviant sexual desires.

There's one anime....it has to do with a bunch of chicks who own a bathhouse and the guy's interactions with. WTF was it called?

Damn that was a funny ass anime too.

Personally I love mecha, my favorite has to be Escaflowne. I haven't watched anything new in a while though. Older stuff like Nadisco, Slayers, Record of Lodoss Wars are all good stuff.

I'll have to ask my friend about that. But maybe I'll give it a try again. The thing is, I've watched many a Gundam series and very few were ever good later on. I think the only other one I stopped watching because it bored me to tears was Turn A Gundam. Others start out kinda slow (Z Gundam) but are still entertaining.

I do find it interesting that Gundam 00 is set in our timeline rather than a made-up one.

Does the main character become a little less stoic? I think that was one of the worst aspects of it is that I just didn't give a damn about any of the characters.

Keitarou owns the bath house in Love Hina, not the females... unless the other guy got it wrong. Actually his grandma owns it and put him in charge while she was on vacation or something like that. But he does in a sense .

I enjoyed Love Hina for what it's worth. Series with the clueless male around tons of females tends to be amusing (you can even include shows like FMP in with this even though it has a completely different setting). It's also a rule that every series in this paradigm must have a hot springs episode.

It's been a while since I've seen it. It's exactly that, not groundbreaking by any means, but hilarious IMHO

Only Tenchi Muyo was able to pull this off. Love Hina was too over the top and it got old after a few episodes.

Main Character stays the same mostly, but you dont watch Gundam 00 for him. The other characters become awesome too. They do things. And you find yourself loving the enemies too
