Best Anti-Virus other than Norton?

I tried Norton Corporate Edition and Norton Antivirus 2001, both cause the same lockups in Win2k (bootups and copying large files) What would you recommend for Windows 2000?

Pc-Cillin is good for all ... specially win2k

Hi, H8! Long time, no see.

You're absolutely right, but InoculatIT-PE may not be the best, other than Norton. I think it may be better. I have received new free updates about every three days for the last few weeks, and the virus encyclopedia data base on their site has really deep info on how to detect and remove anything that's already hit your system.

Another vote for InnoculateIT PE. It feels faster than both Norton and McAfee, and while I have never had a virus myself (rather miraculous) many people report that InnoculateIT has been able to detect viri that are undetectable by both Norton and McAfee. Using InnoculateIT on a ThinkPad with Win 2K and I have had no problems at all.

We use Trend Micro at work. It seems to work pretty well. Plus, with their URL (www.antivirus.com), they should be.

i use both Norton AntiVirus and InnoculateIT (two virus checkers are better than none).
I have neither running in the background but i have norton scan all of my files on thursday morning and Innoculate scan my system on sunday morning.

from experience innoculateIT can hunt down viruses better.i use norton in the case that innoculate my miss viruses.
