Yes, yes you are.

AS one example that I'll repeatedly say - if you are doing something and receive a text, you have to leave the app your are in to reply to the text. I do not. You honestly believe that shouldn't be core functionality?

Just one example

You non-jailbreak n00bs crack me up. You guys are the reason Android phanboy's think we are all n00bs

Yeah! I should care what Android fanboys think about Apple users, because I associate my worth the the value of my brand of choice!

I have rooted, developed for, and thrown away more Android phones than most of the Android fanboys. I still have yet to jailbreak my iPhone, because it does everything I require in a phone.

To me, jailbreaking an iPhone comes with 0 features of worth. And the articles you originally linked have laughable reason. "It is getting safer" and "It doesn't void some 3rd party warranties that aren't AppleCare". Yeah, I think I'll stick with my regular iPhone.

Oh my god ffs, because you are able to see right through your reply box, and use the app that's behind it? Your biteSMS crap provides NO additional functionality vs tapping on the banner and then using the home button to multitask back to the other app. All you're doing is saving a double home button tap. Good for you. Like I said, people don't care about this shit.

Not all apps have multitasking built in. Specifically some games I play have to be rebooted and restarted where you left off, sometimes taking a solid 2 minutes on my old iphone 4 - to end up back where I was - when BiteSMS does it on top of the game meaning I never left the game and don't have to wait to get back in it.

There are still a lot of apps and games both that haven't added multi-tasking capability.

iOS is barely functional without a Jailbreak - and you guys can continue to live in your delusional world when most of you have never tried it. I refuse to be told what I can and cannot do. Apple has way too many restrictions over iOS

Big surprise that this would be your stance since you also let Microsoft treat you like a second rate customer that doesn't care about choices. You just take the stance of regurgitating everything corporate America feeds you and then you ask for more.

Jailbreaking doesn't actually change your warranty in real life and there isn't any argument you can make that says it does. I'll explain very simply why not. If the phone is still functional enough to use, you can plug it in and remove the jailbreak within a few minutes before returning to the Apple store. And if it isn't functional, then how is Apple going to know its jailbroken when you bring it in to them to get a new one? If the phone is dead, it's dead. If it isn't, removing the jailbreak is just as easy as jailbreaking it was in the first place.

So, your argument is a personal attack and that jailbreaking doesn't void the warranty because you can reverse it before you send it to Apple to fix (because they won't fix it under warranty if it jailbroken).

Such wonderful arguments.

Also, I love the attack that I accept anything corporate America feeds me because I think disc based DRM on consoles is for troglodytes and I don't require my iPhone to be jailbroken to use the features I care about (talking on the phone, texting, GPS, and the occasional web search).

GPS was SOOOOOOOOOOOO severely limited on iPhone when they switched to Apple Maps - and yet those of us who were jailbroken didn't have to deal with that fiasco and could use Google maps without issue.

I think they switched back to google maps now? Or is that just on iOS 7? Who knows because being Jailbroken, I do what I want versus being fed what they want me to eat

I've found less and less reason to bother with jailbreaking my iphone as Apple has slowly but consistently brought must-have features enabled via jailbreak to official iOS releases.

My only complaint now is that tapping on an address defaults to open Apple Maps when I'd like to be able to make it default to Google Maps since its just a much more polished navigation map.

Still, that one complaint isn't enough for me to want to deal with the trouble of jailbreaking again.

Apple Maps still exists in iOS7, but if you prefer Google Maps, you can download the Google Maps app from the App Store. I've been using various iPhones for over 5 years, and I have jailbroken several times. With each new version of iOS, there are fewer reasons for me to jailbreak. In fact with iOS 7 negating the need for Auxo and SBSettings, the only feature I truly miss is SwipeSelect, but even that is not a make it or break it feature for me.

Dude, I've had every iPhone since introduction, and I used to jailbreak until iOS 4. For me, there is no reason to jailbreak anymore. Everything that I need is there, if it's not free I have no problem paying a few dollars for whatever I want/need.

If your needs are such that you must continue jailbreaking, by all means go ahead. But don't come here spouting that if you don't jailbreak you're a noob or that iOS is barely functional, because that just makes you look like an idiot. My iPhone does everything I need (even more actually, I don't use all the functionality as often as I could because I don't get the chance). If it didn't, I would have an Android phone. Period.

It would be nice for them to roll out the ability to change your default apps, even if in a limited way. I don't have many complaints about the built-in apps, but my needs are minimal.

Jailbreaking allows plenty of cool features and abilities on the iPhone, but if someone doesn't need them, there is nothing wrong with it, to each his own! Saying that jailbreaking is a must is as stupid as saying that jailbreaking is for piracy.
