Best audio player

I'm just looking for a really good and free program that has really great audio capabilities. Is Winamp alright, are there better ones than this? Realplayer?

Winamp is great, I like iTunes too, but winamp uses less memory so is good for running in the background.

Not too sure of what the best is, I use iTunes, but RealPlayer is horrible. I know quite a few people who use Winamp and like it, but I prefer the music library of iTunes.

foobar, not as user friendly but you can get it to do just about anything you want and look the way you want, but takes some fiddling with.

Foobar is good.
I have iTUNES (because I have an ipod on my pc) but I don't feel i can tweak the sound, eq, and output as good as I can with foobar. iTUNES is too limited

Ya know, is there a "Dummies guide to Foobar"? 'Cause I've always wanted to seriously try it, but never cared to put in all the time it seems to take customizing it.

Gooberlx2, you can often just search around and people will offer some of their customizations. Like my visual layout was mostly "stolen" from what someone else cooked up and provided for download, I just made some minor changes I wanted to do myself.
