You say blues, but then mention Allman Bros, The Band, and the Rolling Stones?
I vote for anything Stevie Ray Vaughan.
Dude, that's what the Allman Brothers were all about. The Stones lifted many of their songs from blues artists as well (but they didn't get as much flack about it is other bands like Led Zeppelin did). At Filmore East is required listening for anyone studying master guitar work (You Don't Love Me is one of my all-time favorite songs!)
Here's some of the albums that have influened me:
Peter Green (Early Fleetwood Mac)- Man of the World Anthology
Albert King- Born Under a Bad Sign
BB King Live At The Regal
Howlin' Wolf Moanin' In The Moonlight
John Lee Hooker- his works were spotty, so- Man of the World (I Feel Good) would be good
Lightnin' Hopkins- Blues Kingpins is probably easiest to find
Muddy Waters- any of the Best Of CD's
Ray Charles- Anthology will cover everything
Any of Buddy Guy's work
Also, works by Leadbelly, Gatemouth, Memphis Slim, Big Joe Williams (a favorite of mine), and Amos Milbourne are good to listen too.
I've studied blues artists since college- let me know if you need any specifics.
