My DFI nF4 SLI-DR waiting for it!!! :0)

God, doesn't that get old? Do you honestly not know what he is asking? Give it a break. This kind of reply has got to be one of the lamest there is on the video forum. Ok, so he used an "X" instead of a "e".

Agreed. What an @$$clown of a response. I haven't used any other 6800Ultras other than the eVGA ones. I have 2 running in SLI. I have had ZERO problems with them (other than an RMA that was my fault.) It took eVGA 2 days to get me a replacement 6800U. OUTSTANDING TURNAROUND!!! I highly recommend using their cards.

That was seriously an @$$clown's response :| . Anyway, anything from BFG or EVGA should be peachy. Stay away from XFX, they blow chunkies.

No although blunt his response was correct. How many different ways do we have to put this, how many different times do we have to say this? You either say PCX or PCI-E. PCI-X is a server standard.

Also there are about 458234903408 different threads about this exact same topic. Use the search function.

I do not mind replying and helping people out, in fact i enjoy it, otherwise i wouldn't have as many posts as i do, but please, help us out in turn and use a search.

EVGA is excellent, their step up program is very useful. Additionally the best manf are probably Asus, MSI, Leadtek, and (if you can find them) Gainward. Those manf dont simply stray from reference design they generally use higher quality memory, different layout etc... EVGA i would put on mid range, but their CS is excellent as well as some of the services they offer.

You really cant go wrong, but i would stay away from XFX and PNY, not that they are really bad, but they dont have the best track record for video cards.

actually there are a few vid cards made for PCI-X slots.. (well, 64 bit PCI, or PCI-X compatability)
and yes, we all agree that PCI-SIG made a bad choice when the used PCIe as the abbreviation for the PCI Express standard.
direct response to OP, have heard good and bad about all brands, but eVGA, BFG and Gainward are usually the short list, followed by MSI, ASUS, Leadtek, and the rest.
Cheers

I'm sorry 2: Anandtech forums are 1 of the forums that got the most trafic, u post a question 1 day and the next day it at the page 3 or 4. Didn't have time to look to page 10 for an answer, a link would of been ok too.

U guys are the best.

That would be why we incorporate the serch function

No worries, no need to apologize, you have to learn somewhere.
