psiebenshuh & Maelsturm,
I've never heard of a 75GB drive either. The model number on Best Buy's flyer is WD750BBRTL.
The funny thing is that if you do a search on Google for that model, the only two sites that come up are other threads about the Best Buy Black Friday Sale
Maybe there are 5 gigs of bad sectors and they are just trying to get rid of them for cheap
K-squared,
I worked for BB for around 1.25 years and recall a couple cases where A-hole managers would try to screw someone by telling them that if they returned the item after the seal on the box & card are broken that it would then be considered an open-box item and not eligible for the sale that day (this occurred during both the after-Turkey day & Christmas sales). Thats not to say that the employees at your BB will try and pull this cr*p, but I wouldn't put it past them. If you stand your ground and get in the mgr's face they will eventually back down, but it really just depends on the particular person you are dealing with. Overall, YMMV and to be on the safe side I would recommend buying the card and leaving the box, receipt and bag in a corner somewhere that you won't be walking by every two seconds. I am half ready to open the box just to replace my aging GeForce2, but I'll try to control myself
