My wife and I were on Iphone 5's and finally decided to update / upgrade. Decided to stay w/ Apple and AT&T. Researched and really liked the XS's. Saw Best Buy had "$200 off" and went for it.
In the store, working through the payments prior to setting up the phone itself, it's clearly showing $849 on the screen at the store that the salesperson is using. The smarter financial decision is to pay it off over the 30 months because of 0% interest but decided to do the 1-time payment anyhow just to be done with it.
Final price $649. It appears to have added some kind of additional discount of another $200 that comes up when doing the 1-time payment.
Finished the deal and went back a few hours later to do our other phone (I was solo the first time) and repeated the exact same thing again.
So for whatever reason, these phones yesterday were $400 off. Not sure how long that'll last. This was Roseville, MN but I suspect it's a Best Buy thing and would work elsewhere. YMMV of course, but good luck if you try.
