The paperboy was just here. Best Buy has some decent offerings this week. All prices listed are after the Instant Rebates, just in case I forgot to type MIR after a minus sign. I'm not responsible for typos. Here are some highlights:

Fuji 50 pack CDRs $13-$8MIR= $5
Fuji 50 pack DVD-R Discs $100-$30MIR= $70 Nothing for DVD+R

also same deal on case inserts(whatever those are)

Seagate 120GB 7200 w/8MB buffer $170-$70MIR= $100

evga E-GeForce2MX 400 64MB PCI graphics card $60-$10MIR= $50

TDK 4x DVD+-R drive $300-$30MIR= $270

Sony 24" TV KV24FS100 $350

Sony 36 KV36FS100 $1000
Philips 30" 30PW850H $1000

KLH 260 watts HTIB HA9000 $130 after savings, but it doesn't say if that $50 savings is upfront or a MIR, but final price is $130.

XBox games: Mortal Kombat ???Alliance $30, Aliens and Predetors $40, Ghost Recon Island Thunder $40(available thursday), Outlaw Volleyball $50, Ncaa football 2004 $50

Toshiba 14 FS TV/DVD combo MD14N1 $230

I will not type the list or prices of DVDs unless you give me a specific title, and I read it in time.

Thanks for the update on next week. Not a lot of good deals but a few little ones.

Nothing like paying twice as much than market value for stuff to wait 8 weeks to get your money back so that you will finally have your product at market value.

I tell you I think BB has the worst deals of any other company on the market. Every once in a while they throw a bone out there but not very often.

So your smoking deal on the Seagate at $170 -MIR $70 = $100

Link $103 Oh and look at that Free Delivery, that is the fair market value of that drive, Not $170 + 8 weeks waiting to get a check, if they accept your MIR.

Not that I disagree with you, but there is such a thing as INSTANT gratification.
That aside, the usual three days shipping from Newegg is pretty darn good.

Is that it for hardware? A couple of slow weeks now. Thanks anyway for posting.

Your right there is such a thing as instant gratification, I am so glad that I grew up and out of those years, because they cost me a lot in CC bills. I think I was still paying on the stereo from 1986 last year... No I certainly can wait three days to get the product and keep the $67 in my pocket while I enjoy the drive. That is how I think now.

Normally you can't compare OEM to Retail, but manufacturers' warranties have been sucking.

Not that I will get it at BB, I was just wondering if it's MIR (most likely). For Newegg orders I get it the next afternoon, so it's definitely worth the wait.

ER.. and NO tax for those outside Cali! Newegg is always my first place to buy hardware, unless I need something the same day. Lesson in life: PLAN AHEAD!

Yes and one of the Office stores (can't remeber which one) is doing 100 CD-Rs for $14.99 no rebates. That is when I buy my CD-R's.

Anybody used Fuji DVD-Rs? How are they? Probably the 10% BB coupon by mail might make the deal okay ...

I'm wondering if I should delete my thread. All I see is go to newegg and rebate crapping. If you don't like rebates, fine, but STFU about them. Take your complaints to Brag and Moan. I have had to call Fuji a few times to check on my rebates but I have gotten ALL of them, in a timely manner. Me thinks some of you buy more then one and try to screw over the system then come here and complain about it. Some of us are willing to pay a little extra for TYs. They work great and they don't smell like petrouleum.

Now go trash some other people's threads to get your Post's number higher, or better yet, start posting some deals and not just replying to them.

Have a nice day.

Well when you post a crap deal in the hot deals forums, expect to get trashed a little. I provided links to better deals than your own without the hassle of the rebates. Nothing wrong with trying to help out others.

An appropriate title to your post would have been "luke warm Best Buy, August 3-9"

I would have completely left it alone.

Have a nice day!

I, for one, appreciate you posting everything. I didn't think anything was worth going in for, but I'm glad to have known that on Saturday, so I didn't have to get up early today to go do it. Thanks 1cheap2crazy!

I appreciate your work, although one friendly question about the $70 rebate somehow made the crowd weird
Sorry mate.

I like the price of $29.99 AR on that 256mb DDR notebook RAM. However, I don't get promising answers from BestBuy CSRs about this working in my HP Pavilion notebook. Does anyone know why overqualified PC2700 DDR notebook SODIMMs would not work in my ze4402us that specs PC2100 SODIMMs? $29.99 for 256mb is just too hot to let go, but I don't want to buy, try it at home, have it not work, and then get grief for returning it. BTW, does anyone know BestBuy's policy on "Doesn't work in my machine" returns?

Thanks for the info. I purchased the Fuji CD-R and the Fuji DVD-R. The Fuji DVD-R is selling very fast. When I left there were only 2 left.

you will most likely have no problem with it working and most likely with receipt have no problem if a return is necessary(do not remove UPC until sure)

NOWHERE in the title does it say hot... why does it have to say lukewarm?
my father always told me "if you can't say something nice, son, don't say anything at all..."
guess some others in this forum didn't have that luxury

Don't take it personal. I always appreciate the BB deals early. I think people are ragging on BB and not you. Keep posting BB ads early even if they are stinkers.
