Best Buy Black Friday Deals

I dont see why you people get so worked up about the deals at best buy and other retailers...The TVs, cameras, and toshiba laptop are all discontinued items that have been horded by retilers, such as best buy to get people in to the store..the camera and laptop havent even been sold there for months, Toshiba doesnt even list that laptop on their website anymore...m35x-s109, check for yourself...Really look and see if you are getting a good "deal" before you waste 4 hrs of your life in line.

I'm not saying the laptops they discount are GOOD. however, even if they are last year's models you really couldn't find them at a cheaper price than BF deals. Also, deals like the 200gig WD HD for $50 and the 16x dual layer dvd-burner for $40 are great deals. You wouldn't find those at better prices for a long time.

Thanks - it would still workout to be a good deal for me because I doubt my mom will mind the shared memory Tryin to get her a nice little lappy for basically browsing and some work on Word.

I work at BB and I can tell you that is the wrong Laptop. The one in the Black Friday deal is a Celeron, not a Centrino. I saw about 60 of these stockpiled in our wherehouse yesterday.

how many are guaranteed to be in each store?
remember last year.. they had the $500 laptop on BF, but then sometime in Dec, no special day, they had the compaq x1050 for $850! THAT was a better deal if you were byuing the laptop to keep it

Not sure if this is local or not, and not sure it will have any effect on anything, but passing along a sign hanging at the Crestwood, Mo Best Buy. States they will be doing no returns/exchanges etc Until Noon on 11/26. Could be an issue for those wanting to return and rebuy if there's a time frame on those deals. good Luck, and Happy Hunting!

That is the laptop i promise...m35x-s109, we have 73 in my store I looked at them today..they suck, seriously though it is a sweet gift for someone w basic, and I mean basic computing needs, if its for yourself, save the extra dough for after christmas deals..retailers are so desperate for business in february, which is always the worst month because credit card bills are in and tax returns arent in..the last three years i have worked at bb the feb deals are sweet, on better products too.

Either that was a mistake or your story isn't accurate, because the extended warranty is supposed to be like 20% of the purchase price, and they don't offer it on lower priced items.

RE: the 27" TV

A while back, I was looking for the Apex TV so I could scope out the specs, and I couldn't find one. I figured they may just magically show up for BF. However, today, when I walked into Best Buy, there was a wall of Sansui TVS2746 TV's (no component on this particualr Sansui 27" :,( ), so my guess is that's what they'll be selling. Or maybe at least at the BB here. Still a great deal for college kids like me.

I'll be camping out with my new Nintendo DS to keep me company.

I've got the circular in front of me and I promise there is no 27" apex. There's a 20" konka for 69 after a 20MIR, but that's it.

Which is why I'll wait for the ads to materialize on Thursday before committing ot any store this year. BB almost ALWAYS has a HD, video card, DVD/CD burner on sale on BF. Haven't seen any of those listed in anyone's list yet. The two BB's I visited on Saturday had tons of the Sansui 27" TVs stacked everywhere.....the one in Savannah must have had 75 or more stacked to the ceiling in various places throughout the store, as they did the Konka 20" TVs.

Well, I can tell you this much.... I haven't seen ANY of our video cards stockpiled yet and it's already Tuesday. If there were going to be a big BF deal we surely would have already received 20-30 of the same model video cards. There may be a model discount or rebate on a card or two, but I really don't think there's going to be anything spectacular on video cards.

the 9600XT is part of the ad, although they may have a small min. quantity per store, which may be why they arent being stockpiled, or maybe they just couldnt get their hands on as many as they wanted.
