But Mcdonald's fries took a huge downturn in taste... When i buy a combo these days the fries just don't taste good anymore. Or they cool off faster than the other fries and taste worse when they are cool. I might just buy it to get these monopoly pieces as they are great.

I think it's because they stopped cooking them in animal fat. Or something like that.

Yeah, McDonald's fries used to be the best around, but now they are the absolute worst of the fast food world.

I believe you can mail in a postcard and receive McDonald's Monopoly game pieces if you really dislike the food that much. It will, however, cost you about $.14 for each postcard.

I think it had to do with some Hindus suing McD's because they ate the fries thinking they were veggie safe, but in reality they were cooked with beef broth or something like that-- cows being sacred to Hindus, this was a big "blech" for them. McDonald's then changed the way they cooked the fries, and also have been using veggie oil to cook them. They taste like horse sheet now. Don't buy anything from them b/c their burgers are tasteless and the only reason to buy from them in the past was their great fries. Oh well.

McDonald's cooked (maybe still cooks) french fries with an Oil that had a beef flavor/essence. They determined the fries tasted better. Since eating beef is against some religions and McDonald's didn't make a big deal about it, those offended who didn't know took legal action.

A lot of it comes back to the FDA nutrition and disclosure acts.

Food aside, that latest "I'm Loving It" ad campaign just reeks. What are they doing, try to target a specific demographic? And what demographic would that be? Lame.

I hate lawyers...they go around and make food taste worse for us just so their selfish beings can take 50% of the winnings.

Wendy's is by far superior. Their new Homestyle Chicken Strips are awesome, all white meat, not like the mix and match Mcdonald's chicken crap. Plus their sauces are all really good too.
