We know we just don't care. Amazon has individual shipping overhead with $4/gal gas. Walmart and Target can both compete with Amazon, so why can't BBY?I find it ironic that people take issue with Best Buy not price matching Amazon at the same time they take issue with "only" having 1 person to tend to customers in an isle. How many people on the floor do Amazon have telling you about all the features of the wares they're peddling? 0. Zip. Nada. They put up a page with some info on it and they're done. They have no such overhead from having to fill a floor with employees that can deal with people one on one. That is precisely the reason Amazon is able to undercut them on prices they can't afford to price match.
With that said, Best Buy still sucks. It would not be a pretty picture no matter how perfectly perfect they ran their business for the reasons above, instant gratification only goes so far compared to lower prices and no sales tax in this economy. But they're taking an unavoidable bad situation and making it worse with their corporate shenanigans.
That's the reason I love Dallas - 3x Fry's (the 4th isn't that far away) and a Microcenter3 fry's

Seriously though, there had to have been massive pressure to get this guy out of there, given recent comments. Perhaps they hired a P.I. firm to get dirt on him, then used it as leverage?

Plus he used company resources to carry it out. Meaning anything from hotels and meals, to company jet and weekend getaways, on the company's dime.Shareholders and/or board members who were looking for an excuse to get rid of him.
Closing 50 stores only results in the loss of 400 jobs? Eight employees per store? Something is beginning to add up about the BB experience.
