Any more details? I didn't see the Lite-on (saw a 52x32x52, but not a 52x24) on the site. I'm guessing since you mention free shipping that this must be on-line. But again, didn't see that particular drive yet.

I use my 52x24x52 for all my svcd ripping and its great. Just be sure to update the firmware if you are having compatibility problems. All in all, my favorite burner manufacturer. :beer:

w/o looking im betting the lite-on is a verbatium rebadged. well not really rebadged (they still say liteon) just in a verbatium box. im running one, its a good drive, but a bit noisy. my bb rebate came fairly quickly but ive about given up on the verbatium rebate. its been a long time and i cant get ahold of them on the phone.

I got (and reposted) the rebadged Lite-On Verbatim a couple of weeks ago, but that was $15 AR and if this is $10, I'm glad I didn't do the rebate yet or open it! Anyone got the breakdown on rebates and comments on the quality of this model vs. the Verbatim version?

That LiteOn does look like a very hot deal. Hopefully it is a non-rebadged but rebadged is OK as long as rebates are honored quickly. I still have to bitch at BBY about an SIIG USB hub rebate. Only 6 weeks overdue...

I appreciate the info in this thread, but it would be nice to have more information. This looks like a straight copy-paste rip from the tb main page (so does the post from FW).

Anybody know what drive they are actually talking about? There are currently 8 52x24x52 internal IDE CDRWs on BB's site. Is this deal on one of those drives, an apparently re-badged Lite-on. Or is it on the actual Lite-on branded 52x32x52 drive which I linked to in this post? Or.... is it a 52x24x52 Lite-on branded drive that simply isn't on BBs site yet?

Apparently there are one-time use B&M only 10% coupons available. Don't know the details on this lite-on deal, so don't know if the 10% coupon would apply (I'm assuming this deal is pure MIRs, no coupons). Just a heads up for anybody who might have the BB mail. Coup expires 8/10 (hopefully would be honored *on* 8/10).

Sweet, I could always use more cdrs and dvds...I've only got 300 cds and 12 dvds. That 10% off coupon just makes this better.

Don't get too hot and heavy over the coupon just yet (if its the one I mentioned). Remember, it's B&M only, it's for one item only, and it's one-time use only (looks like you can't just print and use it, have to have a unique coupon id, according to peeps @ tb anyway, could be wrong). Also, BB policy re: coupons + rebates is pretty strict. Check FW forums or BB policies, but I'm pretty sure that if any of the rebates you use are Best Buy/instant rebates, then the coupon won't apply to those items. However, if you go for a deal that has only manufacturer MIRs, then the coupon should apply just fine.

Since nobody has posted the details on these deals, and I haven't been able to find them (haven't looked super hard, yet), can't say how well the coupon will work.

Still hoping somebody can save me some work and knows off hand which drive the lite-on deal is on.
