I could have sworn that they opened one last year around 70th st (around there) because at one of our Team meetings, we had a video about best buy going to new york and Sting playing a concert in central park. But that's cool that there's one downtown...I gotta check that out next time I'm there

WTH are you talking about? Everything at BestBuy is RETAIL PRICE!!! And as if it that wasn't a big enough insult, they publish these 20-page weekly ads, and 95% of the items featured are RETAIL PRICE!

And the deal is...????

If everyone posted that a new store, blah blah is opening, we would have nothing but posts about that alone.

Sorry to thread crap, but no deal.

It might be hot for NYC residents who want to get in on some of those BestBuy deals.

A-men! Connecticut got our first Best Buy about 6 months ago. They suck, regular prices are a joke and sales are usually no great shakes either. A lot like CompUSA really, on rare occasions you might find something decent, but most of the time you can safely toss the ad without missing anything. The northeast needs Frys.

I hate going to the ones in Queens. Unless you have a car, they're a pain in the ass to get to. I live in Queens and I still would rather go to a BB in NYC than go to the one in Queens.

Geez, this is a great news to me. I live in Brooklyn and I hate rushing to Queens for the good deals from Best Buy. The merchandises from J&R, however, is a well-known overpriced in Manhattan. I don't know how you come up with that is the best store in NYC.

What is a HOT deal is that BB is opening up a Store in Alaska. Hell yeah, no more shopping at CompUSA or Sears for electronics.

Never has been a problem for me going to the BB in Queens (both of them). Easy commute on the subway.

I don't buy much at BB though. Usually their prices aren't as good as Staples with their discount/coupons. Just today I took a shelf tag from BB for a 40 Gig to Staples. They matched the price and I was able to use a coupon. Short walk from BB on No. Blvd to Staples near No. Blvd. While in the neighborhood went to OM to get a few FAR items.

Everyting a short walk from each other and then I can get a bus at No. Blvd and B'way that takes me a 1/2 block from my house.

Sounds nice, but still way out of my way I work near Battery Park, and live way up by Yonkers, so from either location No. Blvd quite a hike.
But Chelsea Store, 60 West 23rd Street aquick 2min subway ride from the job, I can get there and back, and still have time for a coupla slices and a coke

Hey guys, just to let you guys know, to get to the Best Buy in Queens place by subway you take the R/V (G on weekends) train to Woodhaven Boulevard and you will be right were Queens Center Mall is. You will have to walk a couple blocks from the mall/station but its not that bad.
