do you need to put money on the giftcard? what if you just take the coupon out from the back w/o using the giftcard?

You get tossed out of the store for defacing their property, or you'll be forced to buy the giftcard.

Best Buy would be CRAZY to get rid of these, as they might lose them revenue, but they gain them customers.

If you do find these, NOW is the time to get them, as the holiday-hired cashiers tend not to be as well-versed in BB's rules as the seasoned veterans. I was able to get 11 of the 12/31/05s recently thanks to a cashier who let me put a penny on each.

I could have walked out with 50 or more if I wanted, but I didn't want to overdo it.

Wow, they have Bestbuy in Tustin marketplace now? In the same area as the CC? Wow, there's one in El toro, Costa Mesa, Tustin, and Mission Viejo now. Crazy!

Yea, I am just down the street from the new BB in Tustin. Its' a devil shoppers playground for sure with a CC nearby as well as a Micro Center close by and two Frys' within a short freeway hop away

The Costa Mesa Best Buy doesn't have it anymore. It varies by Best Buy.

saw a GC on saturday at that store that had the XBox logo on it (or something to that extent)... on it was a coupon to take $5 bucks off $25 on video games...

maybe they're trying to hide it??

The new cards are platform specific - XBox and PS2 (not sure about Gamecube) - but if I remember correctly I think the discount on those are off a minimum of 29.99 - not 19.99.

You can still find the GGCs, but it seems like 2005 might be the last year.
