They bounce their prices all over the place, often regardless of rebate offers. Currently, their site lists 50 for $17.99, or 100 for $34.99. No idea about in-store, I guess we'll know more tomorrow.

Damn, at $7.80 a spindle I'll pick up 1000 easily... That's an excellent price for TYs.. Hope that's really the price, I'm doubtful tho

i love best buy!~ my first post btw =) Well my story is that i went to BB this morning and they had just put out some open items, floor samples, etc. out to be sold. I picked up a 17" lcd Mag innovation. It was 449$ original price,,, bought it for $299 - $50 mir (but check this, they lost the upc code and deducted the 50 bucks right away) =250$,, i bought the warranty since it was a floor model, but it is in perfect condition but hey~ if someone decides to piss on it 2 and a half years later, i can get the latest model. i'm lovin this lcd, well my advice is to hit up your bb soon because newer lcd models are coming in, that is why mine went up for sale.

Ok, so here's the big question.

Is the video card that's on sale actually an ultra? If so, it's a good price. The picture on the ad is NOT an ultra. Do you think that the in-store personnel will relent if I press them on this issue?

Ok, so here's the bigger question.

Can I pricematch this one to circuit city? CC has this video card for $200 with $40 in mir's. If so, you may be able to get this card for $100 - $40 mir's = $60. Not the best vid card, but extremely hot for that price.

Is it just me or has their on-line "Weekly Ad" page not worked in over 6 weeks?
Type in your zip HERE and see if it works.

Quite dissapointing for a large company like BB to have such a crappy Ad system.

welcome, oohowieoo, I've been lurking for months myself. Imho,

* u luv BB: In the hot deals world, u will see that BB policy, consistently anemic sales, staff's poor knowledge, (lack of) consumer friendliness, etc. put them near the bottom of almost any list.

* 17" Mag @ $250: could be great deal, depending on model, so congrats may be in order.

* extended warranty: never pay for this! Peace-of-mind should come with the purchase price.

Why not try it and report back??? You might get lucky. More likely that the pic and prod id# will kill it; but hey, you never now.

btw... be forewarned that BB ext'd wrrty's only replace product with same product purchased, or if no longer available they'll replace with an item that COSTs the same. Example... you get a great deal on a monitor like the one mentioned above and later you try to get it replaced. You orig payed $250 for say a $400 monitor, they only replace with one costing roughly $250 regardless of the deal you got.

I have never seen free TY... The best deal I have seen for the past 6 months was $1.66/30 after MIR with a limit of 4, about a month ago from CompUSA. Got the rebate a few days ago.

I have never seen free TY... The best deal I have seen for the past 6 months was $1.66/30 after MIR with a limit of 4, about a month ago from CompUSA. Got the rebate a few days ago.

there were some where you actually made money AR. too lazy to find them though.

I agree...It works (kind of) but getting the ad at 151 b/s when I'm on a good 750k DSL line is rather sad. It's the same from my office, and I work at the NOC of an ISP. Completely different tracerts from home and the office too, up until it all starts timing out.

bwahahahaha!

i got up early this morning. 10am. went to circuit city. PM the ad to them got the 5200 ultra for $89.99 + tax.

tried at another one and they said the model numbers were different. i even showed them my reciept from the first one. oh well.

went to best buy when it finally opened (had to go to office max to get my mom a new pen for moms day) and they dont even carry the card yet, they only have the non ultra. their regular price on the ultra is $200 btw. i'm pretty sure they wouldnt have given it to me had they had it. the guy was like, the special is the $99 one there that says "As advertised" right when i asked.

its funny, i am using the nforce2 igp, on a 1024x768 LCD. i dont even play games, dont even know what i'll do with it. but it was funny this has been one of my few pricematches (got in on some at the time cheap pny ddr2100 that was really 2700 during xmas) but yeah feels kinda good. i usually dont have time , but this is an interesting way to do my tour of electronics stores. haha.

Here they had digital research 52x24x52 burner's for $19 AR(69-20-30). It was in the local(29073) flyer I got this morning. I didn't see it in the original post, so maybe it's local or this burner is junk?

GtPrOjEcTX and I have figured out that it does work in some areas but it definetly does NOT work for Kansas City zip codes (although it used to); try 66213 or 64151.
Oh well, I'm sure CC, OM, CompUSA, and Micro Center appreciate it.

Every time I've gone to do it, they've honored it. Lots of times BB runs out of stock quick, so I just PM to CC.
