The video quality difference on a good HT setup is like night and day. Not even the laserdiscs come close.

If you have a big screen, the VHS and laserdisc copies were not even worth watching.

Whoop-de-doo. The movies have been running on TBS for over a decade now. Who really cares about watching them again clearer in DVD? I wouldn't buy them if they were on sale for $5. Especially those edited DVD versions. Originals, maybe, but not the edited versions.

Either you are blind, or you don't have a high end HT setup. Watching on an SD channel like TBS is worse than the VHS.

Once you see the PQ difference on a high end HT setup, you'll understand.

So far I've watched IV and V and the PQ has been stunning. They haven't looked this good since I saw them in the theater over 20 years ago.

heh no kidding, esp in wide screen, ld isn't animorphic to my knowledge... even less resolution. and then theres special features and commentary i'[m not all into rewatching films, but atleast theres some new material here.

A LOT better than the '97 version. They shoot at virtually the same time and Greedo's blast doesn't look like a hacked in afterthought.

I don't like the concept of Greedo shooting first, but it was done much better this time.

I've only seen the movies once, & I don't even like them, but I'm tempted to pick it up just because it's a classic (and as a disc to show off HT equipment).

That's pretty sad, I don't even like it & I want to buy it.

When I went Wednesday to exchange my set at Walmart they only had 8 Widescreen sets left. On Tuesday they had a huge display of them.

They still had plenty of the Fullscreen though.
