Best Buy sucks so much

I can't remember a time when Best Buy didn't suck.

I remember the first time I ever heard of them was when they called the cops on a customer and had him removed from the store for taking pictures of price tags and model numbers on big items. He was trying to prove BB's price match policy was bogus.

I have never ever shopped there once, and I don't know why anyone would.

Under customer service there are two departments. For those that pay attention they can see a sign on one side clearly showing "Geek Squad" and the other "returns and exchanges".



This is why I'm thinking its an online only deal. The store now takes a hit for what the .com had already compensated for.



If this was an online only deal you should be happy with this result as otherwise you would be riding silent while waiting for your shipment.



There are rules for everything and reasons behind them. You got what you wanted and more (didn't have to wait for shipment) and yet you still complain. Well to each their own.......

I'm glad they gave you the business for an hour. It seems like there's always another slick trying to get something for nothing, then complaining about it when it doesn't exactly go their way. Self-entitled douchebaggery at its finest.

Most times these offers say "Excludes prior purchases". Your deal didn't have that disclaimer? I'd just be happy they gave you the deal.

Again I will refer you to the OP. I called ahead specifically to ask if I could do this. I could have got the deal from the store regardless. This was not exclusive to shipment, although this particular BB did not have my radio in stock.

Sadly, no one really knows how retail works. Promotions are covered by purchasers (i.e. stores aren't losing money because of it). If it was an online-only deal (which is what it sounds like), the store isn't covered for the "deal" and will have to pay from its own money to give the discount.

As if retail was pain in the ass enough, dealing with promos and online sales are even worse. And people's lack of understanding on any of it.

After working in it for 3.5 years I still think everyone should have to like work in it for a year in high school. Everyone should have to know what it's like to have to deal with people and the crap they pull that makes life a living hell when working with the wall to your back with the rules of retail. It would help straighten out the prissy teenagers too. Make it like military service, they can't graduate if they don't do it for a year with smiling faces.

Having worked in retail I can say that's not what you do with undesirable customers. I can also say that I was nothing but pleasant to the staff. Having gone through so many staff members though I want to vent here and tell off BB.

Nice to know you are also part of the assumption crowd. I told off the previous member because I don't like it when others make fabrications with me as the subject. If he had no way of knowing, he had no way of telling the story. I'll leave you to your probablities and most likelies... It's a useful skill if you want to intern at TMZ.
