best buy visiontek day after thanksgiving rebate

hehe..... I finally got my Visiontek (BB Day After T-day)
rebate a few days ago.

I had sent it in on Dec 11, 2001........It took almost 7 Months!!!

I've done many rebates in the past couple years... most come in reasonable time (6-10 weeks). But once in a while you get a bum-deal and they either deny it for some bogus reason (ie. CrapUSA memory deal a while back)... (I did get it though.. after faxing them my stuff again )

I track all my rebates and of course make copies of paperwork... just in case I need to re-send them.

I too had waited a long time for my Inetcam rebate. Then one day I emailed them stating that if I didn't receive my rebate in two weeks, I would take them to Small Claims Court. 2 weeks later, I got my $40...=) I also made copies of all my paperwork. So if I showed it to the judge, I would automatically win. Also, this was not a rebate check that I received...it was AN ACTUAL CHECK. It was like a company check! It had my name on it and everything. It's like the printed it right after they received my complaint. Well..that's my story. I also got denied my $50 Visiontek rebate cause they found out that I purchased it 3 days ahead of schedule. Oh well. What do you think I should do about my Visiontek rebate?

I got my _rebate!_ And it will exactly pay for the Rosen Game Screen that I forgot that I had ordered as I purchased a car. (see current thread on Rosen Game Screen)

Maybe I can combine the two.....

I got mine the last week of June - check dated 6/20/02. Is anyone using that no-longer-distributed Rebate tracking program - and is it any good? Seems like it had a frog icon or something like that - LOL - the Alzheimer's is kickin' in.....

I also just got this same rebate (Best Buy/VisionTek) 2 weeks ago (submitted in Dec. 2001). I had to resend it 3 or 4 times (always keep copies!!!) and call many more times. They kept claiming they "never received it". They didn't "receive" it until I faxed it.

This was the toughest rebate ever for me...

BTW - I use an Excel spreadsheet to keep track of submitted rebates...

I finally got my rebate last week. I submitted it just a few days after Thanksgiving. When I would check the Where's my Rebate? site they had two entries that said I was denied due to duplicate receipts. Finally they added a third entry with approved status-but only after I hounded them with several phone calls.

The New Rochelle chaos center really makes you want to avoid rebate offers. I have always been pretty patient with rebates, figuring that if I am desperate for that rebate money-then maybe I can't afford the product in the first place.

I got mine a few days ago too. The thing is, I was doing errands one day, and I guess it fell out of my wallet. Do you guys think there's any chance I can get them to issue me another rebate? I don't have any copies of the receipt, etc. so am I screwed or what? :frown:

If you can find it online, call them in a week or so and tell them you checked it online and saw that they mailed it but you never got it.

My general rule on rebates is if the rebate go to the New Rochelle rebate center, I will not buy the product! I had the worst time trying to get a rebate from the New Rochelle rebate center that I will not deal with them again. Any company that uses New Rochelle to fulfill their rebates does not get my business.
