Does any of AZ ATOT know of a nice camping spot near Flagstaff, AZ? I get to take a long weekend for my birthday and my husband suggested we go camping, and then stay the night at Little America (my favorite hotel).

There are plenty of nice spots up there, none of which have I ever been to.
Flagstaff was just too close to the city for me. I'd skip the Little America and just head up the beeline to exit 616 near Long Valley or take the Knoll lake road if you want to be near water.
Or you could be a sissy and sleep in a hotel . . .

Yep. It's great. But not by Flagstaff. It's way east from there.

It's over an hour from Winslow, I don't know what cutover roads you could take, but i'd guess 1.5-2 hours minimum.
EDIT: Google maps says 162 mi ? about 2 hours 51 mins
