'05 Stang all the way. I like the new Goat but the styling on the new Mustang is just beauiful. They finally got one of them at the Ford dealership here and I drive by it eery morning on my way to work and drool. The GTO may have the edge in performance, but the new Mustang is a looker and doesn't fall that far behind. Also I think the aftermarket upgrades for the Mustang will be a lot more numerous than those for the GTO. Of course the new Mustangs will eventually become "me too" cars when they start hitting the dealerships. The GTO's are less widespread, which appeals to me as I wouldn't like to stop at a light and look over and see my car sitting next to me. I like a little individuality.

Acura TL

the TSX is nice but for an inline-4, i'd expect to pay below $25K

bump for more replies

i like the tsx but its i-4 with 200 hp, so i am not very sure about it

i like the mustang 2005 too but somehow i favor imports, i am going to try and test drive both these this weekend to get a better idea

if the tl is really good i can consider that too, it will be 3-4k more than 30k i guess, g35c is good but its not very practical for me, i am not a big perfomance enthusiast,

why not go certified pre-owned (under 30k miles). Can probley get what sold new for mid to high 30's for under 30.

My vote is for the GTO. If you're not in favor of the looks...just get a TSX and be done with it. The TSX is a very nice everyday car...but make sure to get it with the manual trans...otherwise it is a LOT less fun to drive.

You could buy 30 1991 sables!!

Think about it . . . . each one probably would chug for 5 years or so (mine might make it another decade!), so thats like 150-300 years worth of driveable car for 30k!!

As opposed to, say, 20-30 from a more expensive foreign vehicle . . . .

ok

i guess the question should be will i miss a v6 and/or rwd ?

i have never driven either, i drive a fwd camry now and have before this driven fwd i-4 accord

that is the only thing stopping me from getting a tsx, but all my frnds have been telling me to get a v6 atleast

i know this can be answered by me test driving 3-4 but just wanted to know what you guys think

Get a list of cars that are in your price range, then drive them. Honestly, the opinion of forums members shouldn't take precident over what you think of the cars after driving them.

Go drive the Infiniti G35, Acura TSX/TL, Lexus IS300, etc and decide.

Best advice yet. That said, my personal choice would be a TL.
