wat else should I be considering

right now i am driving a 96 camry, so any of these cars would be a BIG upgrade.

Any requirements?

RWD? Auto or manual?

Is your price range flexible?

I would consider these:
TT MKIV Supra
2005 Mustang but I fear these will become too common even if they're just V6's
New S2000
New WRX STi

Out of those, right now, I'd probably pick the STi because it's AWD, 4 door, plenty of space, and it's turboed. My next choice would be the TT Supra, which would be higher but this would be a used car. If you want to mod the car a lot, the Supra is your choice easily.

A4, WRX would be great choices, depending on what kind of car you like and how you intend to drive it/outfit it. The Legacy GT's pretty hot too, but IMHO is more middle of the road. Or as someone already mentioned, do what I did and get a GTO. Granted, I did it because of the ridiculous lease rate I got on it (already shared it before, not posting again), making it probably 75% of a monthly payment compared to the Subies and probably more like 50% on an A4.

At my age, 22, the GTO is just a flat out car to drive...I will definitely be getting a car with more class and refinement in the future, but I'll always have a muscle car somewhere near. The good thing about a lease is that it almost keeps me from modding the LS1 out with heads, cams, exhaust, etc...just a CAI and radar detector should do it for me

Damn skippy to the RX-8...and the brits LOVE the GTO...or the Holden, whatever it's called. See the newest Top Gear.

I like the G35 myself these days, the sedan is restyled for '05 and the 6MT gets 300 HP. It stickers for close to 30K even. I'll look at my finances again in a couple months and consider getting one.

I'm too old to be a boy racer anymore, so luxury and a little more status all around is nice. Plus enough power to be a heavy hitter. Hell, the mustang GT stickers 25K, the G35 is just 5k more, better name, more class, and same power.

<=== running into the same issue.

I'm currently leaning toward the GTO, I was in talks for a G35 Coupe, but, well, its 38k, the GTO is 30k for pratically the same car. (preformance wise). Well, thats wrong, the 04 GTO is quicker.

And before anyone goes the G35 handles better, i'm in Wisconsin..

The only curves we have in this state are on the top of the silos of animal feed.

But i've went from 05 Mustang after i saw it at the Chi town autoshow, to the G35, to the GTO, so i could be something else next week.

Wish i could just get the Holden Front Grill, then it be GTO all the way.

EDIT And there is a Vid out there of the 05 Stang vs 04 GTO vs 04 Z at a Drag strip, the GTO gets the best time, and the mustang gets second.
