In your opinion who is the best case company that seems to care about their customer needs the most? It may be difficult because i know a lot of us use the same case over and over again if it is a really nice case and we don't need more than one pc.

As the above post points out, there is a proper section for this thread.

Antec seems to take care of the customer better than most - but I've never owned an Antec case as they never seem to have the right combo of features and too many own them so there is almost no exclusivity factor.

I've had really good luck with higher-end Thermaltake cases. The Kandalf LCS is an excellent case, and the Tsunami Dream was one of the best I've ever used.

I got my Tsunami Dream (Silver color) about 2 years ago, and I still enjoy it!
I am going to put my future upgrades in it, and if I have budget/wish to change case, I won't buy another mid tower, but go to elite full-tower case.

People actually use customer support for a case?

Your question does not make sense, as everybody has different needs and might recommend the company that met their needs, not which company meets specific needs.

You should buy a case based on its mix of features, performance (noise and cooling) and build quality more than for customer service.

I've been happy with many Antec cases including the old 830, SLK3000, Sonata, and am using a couple of NSK4400 cases now.

But for a cube case, the performance of the Ultra Microfly is much better than the Antec equivalent, so if I build a cube for a HTPC or media server I won't use antec for that. The better performance of the Ultra outweighs the better support of Antec.

I've had Antec, Thermaltake, and a few others. I have a high respect for PC Power & Cooling. But, really - cases are really a matter of personal choice. And like the man said - who needs tech support for a case?

Same here, I love my Aluminum Armor case.

I am also a big fan of Lian Li cases, I just wish they were not so expensive.

I really like Aspire cases. I don't think you could call them the best at anything, but the quality is decent for the price.

I like http://www.Evercase too. They make high value cases with all the needed features. Plus they sell all the pieces and accys to their cases separately. Many of those will work with many other cases w/o doing much modding.

ChiefTec / ChenMing make some really awesome full-tower ATX cases. Loads of drive bays, lots of cooling, good solid steel, drive rails, the works. Probably the best case that I've yet used. Only drawback is no mobo tray.

For cheaper cases, CodeGen aren't too bad, I like their cases with stock blowholes. Some minor sharp edges though.

Cooler Master aren't too bad either.

I like my mgm/xg quantum case. It is the same chassis as one of my thermaltakes however the fan controller is different. You need to decide what features you want in a case and then see who offers that configuration. If you need customer service for a case apart from faulty workmanship then.....well I won't say anything else.

Very true, it's like asking someone whats the BEST car. There is no clear answer and everyone has a different opinion about what best means. A better question may have been "What are some of the better quality cases". I like the Antec Sonata cases that I get from fry's for $50 after rebate. I toss the power supply and add a Corsair and I'm set. Overclockers may have different opinions about what is good because of case cooling requirements. I try not to spend too much on the case because it doesn't add any performance benefits although I hate cheap quality cases.

Silverstone makes great cases, mountain mods makes great cases (if you need something that big), Lian Li is solid, thermaltake actually makes some pretty good cases, and while I wouldn't say Zalman is a case manufacturer the few cases they make are very well built. As others have said there is n such thing as the "best case", there certainly may be a best case for a given setup or set of needs, but not a best case or even best manufacturer for all needs.

OP is not asking what is the best case, he's asking what is the best case company. At least Enlight, Antec and Evercase have US based support. In my experience, you can call them on the phone and get replacement parts or advice (if you need it) with little problem. OTOH there is Lian Li who although they almost certainly make most of their money from the US, apparently have no useful presence here. If if wasn't for SilverPCs and Performance-PCs carrying some parts, American buyers would be SOL. The only phone listed on their web site is in Taiwan and they never answer if you use their online form. I will never buy another product from Lian Li (the only one has been the EX-34B HDD cage) except perhaps one of their mobile HDD racks. If they wise up and start to act like the US market is important to them, I may change my mind.

. I have also never gotten a response from Silverstone using their online form either. Always have to call on the phone - but at least they have a US presence.

Oh man... Zepper you're right there. Nothing like the Enlight EN 8950 for a server. God that's still a beautiful chassis. And who could forget the Antec SLK 3000B? the ultimate quiet/budget case. Many of them bought by me when those $50 shipped deals were going. And Evercase, the dream come true of price and function. As far as entities go, they definately have the brand identity advantage with me.

But ThermalTake takes the cake for me... never received anything from them damaged in the first place, unlike all of the previously mentioned. Good packing job is the best expense!

Blain,
re. SST. Typical PR BS. IMO, they need to start thinking more about function than appearance. Until the temjin 9, they had never done a complete design that was state-of-the-art functionally. On most of their cases, the functional design was done by others. The one SST case I owned was the Berserker and all SST's involvement with that was choosing the bezel and paint colors.

Only time I needed customer service for a case was when the door came broken when I opened it up. Called Antec, they sent me a new front bezel free.
