Got a 4S in white, so there was a period during which people were going back and forth about the white being slightly thicker than the black, which made me a bit cautious about buying cases. Anyway, I started with a
Griffin Elan Form, which had a little bit of shock absorbing foam on the back, but none anywhere else. I was careful with the phone and it worked well. But I wanted some kind of screen protection. And edge protection.
So I got a
Skinomi Techskin. It's one of the wet installation shields, but I did a damn good job applying it. The problem was that it wouldn't fit inside the Griffin case anymore. So I went a couple of weeks without drop protection but with scratch protection. The phone felt noticeably thinner and I liked it. So I began to look for a bumper-style case.
I found the
SGP Neo Hybrid IIs. This one fit around my Techskin. It added a little bit of bulk to the phone, but now I feel that it's relatively well protected. I'm pretty happy with this combination. Except for the fact that I've got the $35 Griffin sitting around gathering dust.
