Heh. I get bulk raw caffiene powder from 2 different sources, both are clients of mine. I do custom mixes of juice and a regional 'vitamin' drink called Viso, although they changed their distribution to a mainstream bottler so I'll have to find something new soon. They already changed their sweetener for sugar free to sucralose, I'm sure the other mainstream additives aren't far behind...
Are you smoking that stuff? Wrong thread, section, maybe forum.

Does anyone know the difference in temperature in the fan speed settings between low, med, and high?

Thanks!

Yes.

Warm, less warm and cool. In that order...

I run my 2 x 120 mm fans and the 200 mm at H (and another 2 x 200 mm fans which have no manual control). The 200mm fans are linked to a fan controller. There's not much difference in temps with the fan controller at the min setting (only a couple of degrees C, from what I recall), but it is significantly quieter with the fans turned down.

PS What happened to Number1?

Probably a stupid question, but how did you route the MB power cable through that small hole? Does it fit through sideways or did you dismantle it and rebuild after the wires were through the hole?

Thanks!

BTW I love the way the case looks after the mod. I want the clean look for my own!

Also, where is a good place to pick up fan filters if I am too damn lazy to build my own?
Thanks for the compliment

To get the 24 pin mobo header through, I cut a 24 pin sized hole under the mobo so you can't see it when the mobo is screwed on. To the right of that hole is a small notch that is wide enough for just the cable, so there's no gaping hole. Think of a sideways T.

Fan filters can be found on any of the hobby sites, Jab-tech, performance PC, frozen cpu etc.

Ouch, I tried those fans on high once and the noise was like a leaf blower.

What temperature are you referring to? CPU, system, chipset, etc.? Tempuratures are dependent on each individual system and ambient (room) temperatures, so posting, i.e., my oc'ed Q6600 CPU temps with the fans at the 3 different settings would probably be meaningless to you.

Unless your super tolerant of noise you would not want to run all the fans in this case on high anyway without using a fan controller.

I have all the fans set on medium and the noise level, to me, is very tolerable; and I'm very pleased with the temps on my oc'ed Q6600 with an el cheapo Coolermaster Hyper TX2 HS.

If you would like to know the specs of the fans at each setting you can find them in the 900 manual.

Team42,
Am I reading your post correctly? You have 2 - 200 mm fans installed in this case? Where did you put the second 200 mm fan?

No love for the Silverstone TJ09?

Its a pretty awesome case if your using air cooling.

It also looks good, its not cheap though.

(cant link to silverstone tek, for some reason it redirects to yahoo )

Oops! My mistake.

Sorry there, MadScientist. No, I have only one 200mm fan. I have 4 x 120 mm fans - 2 at the front are the Antec 3-speed on Hi setting linked to the fan controller, and another 2 non-Antec fans linked directly to the fan controller (these have no additional manual settings).

It was late...

I have this case and it cools VERY well. That 200mm fan is awesome (on high 800 rpm moves ~130 cfm and is basically silent). It is also perfectly positioned to removed that heat directly from both the top of the case and right over the CPU/memory slots to drag that heat away.

At that is my main complaint with the case. The 200mm fan is too effective. I like to run postive pressure so air is only coming in through the filters. That is almost impossible with this case. The 200mm fan applying 130cfm of negative pressure + the rear 120mm fan + your psu fan (maybe 210 to 250 cfm of negative pressure). This means that even with a 3rd 120 side intake fan installed you need to generate around 80 cfm per fan to break even. That isn't possible with filters installed, and even without filters I find settings on a 120mm above ~1600rpm (medium) to be too noisy.

I CAN turn down the 200mm fan, but I find my temps go up accordingly.

So I can have a very cool (temperature wise) case that gets dusty, or a clean case that doesn't cool up to it's potential...Damn you ANTEC for forcing me into this corner!

Case looks great and cools excellently, you just have to be willing to break out the compressed air and vacuum once in a while.

I have the Antec 900 and I think it must be one of the best cases in terms of air flow. While there are quieter cases, this one is not too loud imo. You won't regret buying this case.

cant beat that. any antec 900 owners out there?

I have built alot of pc's with the 900 for family.. friends.. and customers..

I cant find a cooler case with that much airflow.. I give it 5 out of 5 stars for value and performance..

I also dont udnerstand what you think is bad cable management.. the bad cable manager is the builder.. add your own zipties.. Hide your cables as well as possible.. the two black zipties in the case make for decent cable management if you add your own zipties in other places..

I dont quite understand what you guys think is loud..

I have had very loud machines that made this thing almost ultra silent and I have all my fans on high..

I am not a coolermaster fan.. I have bought some of thier products in the past and they were bad quality.. I am a one time impression guy.. I buy one of your products once it performs badly.. I do not buy another..

IT,
You must have a high tolerance for noise because this case is LOUD with all the fans on high.
Yeah, zipties are your friend when it comes to cable management and I use them a lot, but with a bottom mounted PSU case it would have been nice if Antec would have put a couple of pre-drilled holes in the MB tray to route the 4/8 pin PSU cable and/or other cables behind the MB tray, since most MB's have the 4/8 pin cable connector on the top left side of the board.
It's dremel time.
