I love my CoolerMaster Storm Sniper Black, best $89 (got it on sale) I have ever spent on a case and I have bought a ton. Looks slick, good cable management, tons of room, external fan control, 3x200mm fans. For quiet cases and stoic style, the retired Antec P180B still holds a place in my heart. Otherwise I like the Antec 300 or the CoolerMaster 690 II for cheaper $60-ish cases.

The Corsaid Obsidian 800D is one of the best off the shelf. If you have the $$s, a buddy of mine has a semi-custom Mountain Mods case and it is awesome!

"Off the shelf" the 800D is not a very good air cooling case. It takes quite a few fans to get it up to snuff. "Off the shelf" the FT02/RV02 can't be beat for Aircooling.

It all depends on what your budget is and what your going after/using the case for.

Good point. I happened to have had 3 quiet 120mm fans lying around - so it cools just fine. I turned the back fan around (and my CPU fans also for lower CPU temps) and blocked off the rear top vents as well. So not quite off the self visa vi cooling. Otherwise it is and excellent case with very good cable management.

I have a Corsair Obsidian 700D with the 800D side panel.
I love it.

Too bad the 700D wasn't out when I bought my 800D. I like the cleaner look and didn't really need the hot swappable 3.5" disk bay (and I don't really care about windows).

I have TT Armor and I am very satisfied with it. HDDs can easily be removed and also there are many places where you can hide cables for haveing a decent air flow. The only part I don't like is that I want more hard disk 3.5" bays.
the armor had too many sharp edges for me. i liked it at first the nrealized it was a big pain to work with . it still has a very appealing design to me though.

Both my i7 systems are in a Corsair 700D and 600T. Fantastic cases to work in. Cable management is better in the 600T than 700D IMO.

Finding the 'Best Case' is very subjective. IMO, the best case out there today is the Silverstone SG-05/06. Using Mini ITX and SFX form factor parts, I can fit and power a Core i7 CPU and GTX 580. In a fraction of the space that larger cases like the Corsair 700D take up, you can pack a strong punch but bring the mobility and compactness along for the ride. A neat trick that you can do is to remove the internal drive cages (since I use Steam instead of ODDs and SSDs instead of HDDs) and tape storage drives alongside the PSU (they have the same width). Top everything off with an H70 and you've got a beast.
