Cost NO object? Start with an Antec Plus1080AMG...

Take out the TruePower PSU and replace its fans with the hyper-quiet Papst fans, use those 80mm ones in the rear and nothing up front. Power them from the TruePower's thermally-regulated Fan-Only harness if you want. Slap a Magic Vent on the back and line the case interior with Dynamat.

For CPU cooling, use one of the Papst 80mm on an Alpha PAL8045 and use a relatively low-heat CPU such as a Thoroughbred AthlonXP 1700+. Run this fan off the Fan-Only connectors if you want.

Next, get a (brace yourself!) Adaptec 29160 SCSI card, a 10-meter external LVD SCSI cable, and an external SCSI enclosure. Put the hard drives (U160 SCSI, obviously) in the enclosure and put it in the basement. Now you're cookin' with gas

It's gotta be a LianLi case (PC-60?) with a Vantec PSU, loaded with Vantec Stealth fans.

Spending that much money for a non-water cooled system is a huge waste. Looks like someone is afraid of some H2O.

yes you are right..scared of condensation leaks and such that might appear accidently or connections work loose over time and all of a sudden everything is shorted out....chuckling...t

You are right except for the fact that the liquid used in H2O systems doesn't have to be conductive. Deionized water, stuff they use in high school chemistry, isn't conductive at all.

Uh, it doesn't stay deionized for long in the real world

Just an example. Deionized water is a nice test liquid that you can use to test out your H2O system to see if any leaks occur. If none occur, you could switch it with a permenant solution. Then again, why would you if it doesn't leak...
