Got CDex since cant seem to find a plugin for EAC to do .ogg files, and Oggdrop might be great for the odd file but its not good for cd ripping. On running it tho, it gave a message about not finding wnascapi something... I'm using winXP, and EAC seemed to have no problems? CDex runs with the NT SCSI driver thing but I got the impression the cd ripping was pretty slow (about 15mins for a 60min CD; 52x cdrom - cpu use always <50%). Another v odd thing, it essentially closed my 'net connection. It didnt actually go but couldnt connect to anything, MIRC said software caused a disconnect...
btw zodder, yeah I think CDex automatically uses LAME, go to options > settings > encoder; displays and allows you to choose an encoder there. Was originally LAME but I changed mine to Ogg
