best cell phone company...especially in Los Angeles

i have Sprint PCS but have a crappy ass phone that gets horrible reception in my apartment, but my contract should end in september...I kind of want to get rid of Sprint PCS cause i just hate their customer service and have treated me horribly...

i am on a very limited budget...are there better companies then sprint for service in LA? some of my friends get really bad service with AT&T near UCLA and i dont know if its his phone or the company.

i am willing to put up with sprint if i can get a new phone for cheap...if there are no other cheap companies with good service in LA...i basically stay in the Palms/Venice/Santa Monica/Westwood area

Are you sure it's not just the building you're in? Especially an apartment building, there's alot there to interfere with a good signal. I know when I got into my work building I can't even get a signal sometimes, and it's a brand new phone...

everyone i know gets signal in my apartment, even other people with sprint, but have newer phones...i have the mad old samsung 3500

Yea, Ive heard ATT and Verizon are best at UCLA. I have Sprint myself. Better than Cingublowz tho

Verizon has the best reception in all the phones I've come across. AT&T has little/no reception at all at some of the dorms at UCLA. Don't even think about Cingular because you'll have reception on campus but you'll get system busy all the time I say go with Verizon but they have kinda crappy equipment.

i have at&t and it works fine for me. either at&t or verizon. definitely NOT cingular unless you enjoy making phone calls at 3am... the only time the system isn't busy...

I have Cingular and it sucks. Your best choice is Verizon since AT&T has significantly gotten worse over time.
