I would like to scan some pictures and line art for a web page I am building. Man is the market flooded with scanners. I can use USB connection and can spend $200 max. Any suggestions?
Hey man you can get 32bit scanners for $40. How serious of webpage is it. Do you really need a $200 scanner. Because if it is just a personal webpage you shouldn't need anything that great.
Got one of these last October and it rocks. I mean, I have no clue how professional it is, or how it compares to more expensive ones, but by it's $100 price tag, it's my Best But pick
Thanks everyone. The page is more than a personal page. It is for a Martial Arts School and Japanese Cultural Center. We need some graphics and pictures on the page. Also working with Japanese caligraphy.
It sounds like I may be able to stay under $100 and that would be great- as money is a very big concern. Anything we save can be well spent elsewhere.
Got a UMAX el cheapo for my girlfriend. Connects to parallel port with printer pass through. Works great, software even has option to save scans for the web using alot less space. I even tried the OCR software which I didn't think would be much good on a low price unit. Surprise, worked well.
