I would check Newegg for a decent Sprarkle/Fortron, Should be able to find one for around $35-40 that will fit your needs.

Silverstone SST-ST360 made by Enhance - about $45. shipped . There are also a couple of Fortron or Sparkle units at around that same price that would be equally good.

Fool, you're telling him to get a PSU with less power for the same price. The Xclio is an OEM Antec, there's nothing wrong with it.

Fool , the XClio is not made by Antec. They merely have the same base design. Just because they are made off of the same base unit doesn't mean they meet the same quality specs (OCZ and Raidmax are a prime example).

That Seasonic drive will walk ALL OVER that Xclio.

If he is so compelled than get the S12 for a few more dollars, which will absolutely slaughter the XClio.

Why does everybody just look at numbers and manufacturer when it comes to PSU's? I would recommend a Sparkle FSP350-60PN.

wtf is that supposed to mean. show me a bad review of the xclio. i'm sure the s12 will be quieter but it also cost 2x as much. the xclio is a great PSU for the money. channel well makes both xclio and antec, though they aren't the same PSU simply made by the same company.

Seasonic is quiet, but Antec is more reliable. Channel Well makes Antec PSUs. There.

I have almost the exact same setup as you. Except I have a 9600XT. Is the Athlong XP 1700 is that the one that is at 1.4ghz stock? Well if it is I have the same. Running at 2ghz 333mhz FSB. I also have 3 case fans. All running off a 300w Enermax.

A pox on all your houses! He's running an 8RDA+ and an Athlon XP 1700+ fer God's sake. He needs a dual rail PSU like a screen door on a submarine. Nor does he need a studly 12v rail - he needs a chunky +5V rail as that mobo doesn't run the CPU off +12.
. My eariler reply stands along with the guy up there that recommended the Sparkle FSP350. Will you folks think a bit about what the OP has before posting such off-the-wall recommendations?

Agreed.

Buying a 450 watt PSU is stupid if your only going to use 1/5 of it's power.

That is why I recommended the Sparkle. Your system will definitely not exceed this unit's 18A 12V output and will enjoy the 220W 3.3+5V output. It is also a much better quality PSU then then the majority of the PSU's being posted here.

to OP,

And isn't the 8RDA+ (at least up to some date of manufacture) noted for having those bad caps? Better be sure before stressing it above normal.

you said cheapest, remember. the other PSU`s mentioned are nice ones, but this system is hardly a cutting edge power hungary beast.

DOesn't matter if it sucks a lot of power. THat is a cheap generic PSU. THe Seasonics, and Antecs will eat that alive.

THe PSU will kill your components with voltage fluctuations and what not.

Rosewill PSUs are rebadged ATNG/Coolmax, which are decent budget PSUs. It's a lot better call for the OP's system than many of the others that were recommended. I think that the Silverstone and Fortron/Sparkle (FSP series) units are a bit better built, but the Rosewill isn't bad.
