I second this, my buddy did this to a co-worker on a new server being set up to roll out Windows 2000 AD. There wasn't alot of laughter at 1st, but he wasn't fired either.

I once changed the standard windows ding sound to a laughing wav file. Then installed an app that made the standard speaker sound card-like capable in software. Wish I could find that little app again. Then every so often I would hear aaaahhahahahahah from where I was sitting and curses followed hehe.

One of my really computer illeiterate mates...I built his PC....everytime I used to visit I would change the sound effects to clips of me and my mates doing impressions of him...or clips of songs he hated....he LOVED it...

He would then spend a couple of hours trying to find the files and delete them because he didn't know about sounds in control panel......or the fact that I had hidden the files and then selected "do not show hidden or system files" and he didn't know how to turn that off either!

I did something similar at college, replaced "The" with "The Smelly"....should have seen the notes the teacher wrote on his work...."What does this mean?" "I'm not sure what you are trying to say here!?" when there was things like "The Smelly company is trying to setup the smelly business plan...." he only got a flat pass anyway, which is the same grade he got for every other assignment.....so no harm, no foul!

The CD-ROM drive will eject...I remember doing this to someone at work...everytime I clicked eject...there was a drive whirring noise followed by a huffing....
