I've also seem some killer opening sets by Ozma, Recover, and My Chemical Romance. When My Chemical Romance played NO ONE knew who they were, they were just another opening act on a small tour. They came on and in the first song, the guitarist kicked the singer into the crowd, where he hit his face on some girl's head. He was gushing blood from his mouth the entire set. Let's just say I bought their CD.
It's just Prince is way more talented. He can play guitar better than anyone I've seen live and I have heard Jimmy Page, Santana, Jeff Beck, and Gilmour live and Prince blows them away.

Prince is good, but deffinitely does not blow away the other guitarists you listed.
I would say the best concert I have been to was probably Van Hagar tour over the summer followed by the iron maiden/motorhead/dio tour. Both shows were awesome.
His (Prince) drummer was amazing! His whole band was so damn good!Originally posted by: Emrys
Recent prince tour-- opening night in Minneapolis and Damien Rice a year ago are my 2 favorite.

The best concerts I have seen:
Blues:
John Lee Hooker
Jazz:
Dizzy Gillespie
Rock:
The Who
Classical\Romance: A toss up between two:
Leonard Bernstein conducting Beethoven's ninth symphony.
Mahler's ninth symphony, I do not remember who conducted this. There were three choirs. It was amazing.
Yeah, those dates were the 30th Anniv. tour. I'm sorry you missed it.Originally posted by: Vic

Unfortunately, those are 2004 dates.
Still, Rush needs to seen to be believed. Few people seem to realize just how great they are until they see them in concert. Amazing. IMO, God Himself could not play the drums better than Neil.

Ahh yes, best blues show I ever saw.
A triple bill with B.B King, Stevie Ray, and Buddy Guy!
