Wasn't there before my posting and not there for me now. I am just guessing the usual thing happened where too many people ordered them so they just cancel all our orders

Got 2 of these modems from CompSUYA 18 months ago with Cox in San Diego and while its functional; one thing I've noticed is that it does not like coax amplifiers. Just be sure to not split your main cable in too many times and you should be ok.

Its still not a bad deal at full price considering it will pay for itself in 5 months if you were renting before.

At the ripoff price of $10 I pay for just the MODEM RENTAL(nevermind the $40 internet fee), if it works, it will pay for itself in less than 2 months

Sent amazon a nasty email, and if they don't change their tune...

It's nice to have a legitimate complaint for once, instead of just "they wouldn't give me a good deal, waaaaaah!"

Well on a better note, I received my modem yesterday and gave my cable company the MAC address. They finally got around to adding it to their database today, so I hooked up the modem and am off and running. The up and download speed seem identical, but some other things are different but better than my leased Motorola 4100:

1. Cost(Duh) $10/month lease of 4100 or $15 one time cost for the CMX110.

2. My 4100 had an annoying habit of dropping it's DHCP address almost everyday, forcing a modem reboot/reset every night(this seems to be a firmware issue as other people have it as well).

3. To be honest, webpage response seems damn quicker. Don't know why on this one, but with my 4100 I would click and wait a second or so for a response to ALL my pages and then they would load fine and quick . With the CMX110 I seem to get much more prompt response(split second).

About the only thing I don't like is the data light on the CMX110 flashes at preset intervals when data is flowing, not at the speed of the data. The 4100, when downloading something, it would basically stay lit solid, where as the CMX110 blinks on a set interval, like a car blinker(only faster).

I will need to see how this modem hold its connection with my online games. I tried it with DOAC and did have 1 drop in several hrs, but it may just be other things. we shall see.

All in all, a steal at $15.

I sent the rebate request by certified mail, so I would have a receipt to prove they received it within 15 days of purchase. I guess these aren't firmware upgradeable?

However, the seller is Alphacraze for around $78, then a $30 rebate. The Amazon listed price is nearer a $100....

That's because Amazon is sold out. What Amazon does is if they are sold out, they list people who are selling theirs on ebay. This deal is over a month old and is dead. The original poster should probably change the subject line to reflect that. It was basically dead when Amazon ran out of stock a few hours after this was posted.

This is one of the very few deals I actually got in on before it went belly up.

Has anyone seen this rebate yet besides the one person that posted they recieved it? I ordered mine the day the deal went up and sent the rebate in the next day as soon as I recieved the modem and I still have not recieved my rebate.
